I play about 1-3 hours a day. It used to be way more. Friends of mine are online 24/7 and I always see them in Wow or Overwatch. When I talk to them, they just say oh my computer is running but I do not play for hours. Only the AFK sign is always missing.

At what point is one addicted anyway? More than 6 hours every day?

Not anymore. I wish I was T_T
< 1h daily over the week. Today, I no longer play on a daily basis and if so, then rather small indie or old games on the Deck. Now and then PS5.
All in all, my gameplay has drastically reduced, but it's not because I don't want to play anymore, it's because everything feels worn out. I still feel like I'm playing PS4 games at 60fps on PS5 and on PC (multiplayer machine) cheaters are making my life miserable, so I'm not having fun competing.
I hope that there will be better and above all more innovative times, until then I keep me afloat with less gaming than the last 20 years.

I play a LOT. But many times I'm replaying games I love such as the Uncharted series or older CoD campaigns.
Week nights I'm usually playing multiplayer on Battlefield or Hell Let Loose.
But I definitely play more than 3-4 hours a day. Sometimes I get consumed by youtube though instead.

Totally addicted. I think I probably play between 0 hours and 12+ hours when I've got a new game I'm obsessed with. When FO4 came out I skipped sleeping and played like 30 hours straight, Halo Infinite about 20 hours straight. I'm sure I'll do the same with Starfield.

If I'm just playing an average game or replaying an old game I would guess I average 4 or 5 hours a day.

No but I'm aware of showing some seriously chronic gaming behavior when I sometimes take time off, retreat and play non stop for days.

I don't see that as a problem, but rather a priviledge of a relatively successful life with autonomy and space to enjoy a hobby.

I took a very responsible job last year and I usually don't game at all due to work and tons work related traveling which is why I'm closer than ever to getting a steam deck

Live from NeoGAF, it's Friday Night!
On average 1-2 hours a day but just because i can play more on the weekend. So mostly not even 30 min between monday to thursday.

Gets less and less with every day i grow older through more responsibilities and real life obligations. I don't think i was ever addicted although i played excessively in my youth.

As long as you get your shit together in life one can play as much as he wants, which automatically leads to gaming less.

No. I spend a lot of time gaming and I enjoy it but that's mostly because I'm not particularly ambitious and I've got nothing better to do after work.

I play 1 or 2 hours, then I get bored. Only way for me to play more is during the weekends, and even then I'm not willing to spend more than 4 hours most of the time.

I am not addicted, but I will play 1 or 2 hours per day. Sometimes I don't have time or do other stuff, and sometimes I can play 4 hours when there is a good game to play.

I also tend to avoid rushing a good game all at once. Having some time to reflect between sessions is important. Actually, this is important for a lot of things in life.

On average I probably play an hour a day if that. Sometimes I may do a bit more. Very rarely do I do marathon sessions. I don't have the time and they just aren't fun for me. 2 hours straight is enough for me most days.

I think so. I always want to have something to play. Even if sometimes I don't play anything for a week. But if I do get into a game and find it great fun, I can play 5 hours a day no problem.

Am I addicted? Nope. 1-2 hours on average but I alternate between multiple hobbies.

Do I still play too much and sleep too little and ruin my health? Yeah probably. I mostly play at the night when I should sleep. Comes from having kids in all ages and most games being too brutal for the living room.

I game a lot but I also don't watch TV.

There's this weird stigma with gaming that's like "lol, you've been playing this game for 3 hours straight, what a loser..." Same people say, "Hey I binged the latest season of Survivor this past weekend, it was awesome!"

An unhealthy addiction to gaming is bad but if gaming is what you enjoy doing when your chores and responsibilities are handled, then game on bruhs. Fuck the haters.

As an aside, buying loot boxes and gambling is for degenerates. Have some self-respect. Also, get up and walk around for at least an hour each day. Sitting for hours on end is bad for you.

You go completely of the charts sometimes. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I admire that since I can't do it anymore. Like these marathon sessions in the youth where i was glued to the couch. I can still keep my mind focused for a very long time but my body needs the contrast of movement in-between.

Unless it’s the weekend I only have time for an hour each night. I don’t play until late evening before going to bed, as I don’t want it taking time away from more important shit.

I asked my Switch, OLED Switch, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, Series X, PS5, Quest, Quest 2, PSVR, PSVR2, and Steam Deck this morning if I was addicted to gaming. They all said no.
This all sounds very familiar to me. But no I can reassure you we are not addicted.

Two hours a day, generally. Like others above, I don’t watch a lot of TV so I don’t think it’s an excessive amount of time.

I’m not addicted, no. Games are important to me but I’ve gone years without them in the past and not missed them. They are very much something I used to relax with rather than engage with, and I think it’s the latter that people let control their lives.

Usually about 1 hour a day during the week at the moment, when I do game. I don’t game every night at the moment, I’m having issues with sleep and it’s left me demotivated to do anything after 7pm. On a Friday or Saturday night it’s probably 2 hours, 3 at a push.

Just playing drop in games mostly like Rocket League, Splatoon 3, Smash Ultimate and eFootball.

I play after work when the kids are sleeping and sacrifice my sleep to game. Family comes first and then gaming. I still get in about 3 hours a night on average.

When I was in college it would be 12-16 hour Destiny sessions almost everyday of the week. I don’t know how I didn’t A. Fail B. Develop a DVT from sitting for hours on end.

Wow 3 hours of sleep is brutal. I sacrifice my sleep too but rarely go below 5 hours. Edit: or do you mean 3 hours of gaming per night?
