Am I weird for LOVING the paw prints on the left side of the speech bubbles in Gravity Daze? It adds that much more to the game for me., a simple thing like that.
Yeah, I was thinking the same. Very nice touch.

As someone who hasn't played a ton of HSG before, I can see where he is coming from. True, the Vita game looks like a huge graphical upgrade, but it doesn't look nearly as charming as it's predecessor. I'm not saying it's a bad game by any means, just that from what footage I've seen of the new game, it leads me to believe the PSP version had more heart. But hey! Who knows how much my opinion will change when I give the game a try next week?
TEN cars?! Jesus. Are they serious. How many cars did GT5 for the PSP have? Like over 800?
I know it's not exactly apples to apples..but ten cars? Come on.
This is the most fun I've had so far on Vita.
Wish there was an OT for it.
yeah best not to watch it, lol it really has different environments, plus a world map
http://www.destructoid.com/importers-us-vita-playstation-store-is-now-up-kinda-221384.phtmlConrad told you earlier that a few Vita games were up on the PlayStation Store tonight, but now the full Vita PS Store has launched. This is the day that importers with Japanese Vita systems and US PSN accounts have been waiting for.
There's not much content on the Vita store yet, but there are a few games to buy as well as demos and videos. If you have PSP games or PS Mini titles, some of them are available for download to your Vita now. The PSOne titles are not downloadable yet.
I'm a bit concerned that some PSP titles aren't downloadable, with the message "cannot download using a PS Vita system" replacing the download button. Here's an example of some of my own PSP games that aren't downloadable right now:
Gran Turismo PSP
PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe
Sega Genesis Collection
Fate unlimited codes
Hexyz Force
Plenty of other PSP games are downloadable, though. I've got God of War: Chains of Olympus pulling down now. It's not quite launch yet, so Sony could still be working out some bugs with the PSP offerings.
If you've got a Vita, check out the PS Store on your system now!
What does a reset/reformat entail exactly? I mean it's not like it was super simple on PSP either - the only way i found was to transfer some JP content, which would transfer the license. Does a restore take long?
Some more Gravity Daze shots. I should note before the images too; any area you see in the distance with the weird, cell-shaded kind of outline is reachable. If you can see it, you can get to it. Usual disclaimer applies; the game looks WAY better on the Vita and in motion than in these screen shots.
This above image is the main map screen that displays the primary areas. You can zoom in to where you are for more detailed maps.
This is the mission screen that displays what story and challenge missions you've completed/are currently doing. On the right side is the column for DLC missions.
This is the screen where you can upgrade kitten using the gems you've found/earned from side missions.
Pause screen. Top middle image is where you are currently in-game.
Since it fell behind a bunch of pages, I'll repost.
Is there a way to reset the camera in the game (R3 for most 3rd person action games)?
Oh and I think i'll get Ridge now though I wished it was $19.99.
hmm pretty sure there's a button to recenter camera in the demo. it works like in Monster Hunter game
Is there? Great, I was kinda worried about that when I played the demo, I wish the sticks would click...
If they update Gran Turismo PSP so that it supports full dual analog controls and such, that would up its value immensely to me.
One thing I liked about HSG on PS3 is the unique art/shading-style of characters (they actually look like plastic-toys, right down to their hair). That went out on Vita in favor of more "realistic" render :/ (these feel closer to HSG4, one more thing these games have in common with PS2 now (the crazy aliasing was already a staple for the series and they seem intent on keeping it around it seems)).duckroll said:Sorry, not feeling it at all.
Gross. Do you really play GT with the sticks? I don't play much with a controller but when I do it's with the d-pad and face buttons. I drive 10 times worse with the analog sticks.
Silly question but I was wondering, if he buys Phantasy Star Portable 2 from the online store and I already have the UMD copy, can we play online together?
Right now PSP2 is not compatible with Vita. But if/when it becomes compatible you should be able to do this fine.

Check out Connectify, just be aware that for full functionality you'll need to have a fully supported WiFi adapter in the PC.No one answered in a thread I created about WiFi dongles.
Anyone know of a solution to make my PC into a wifi hotspot via USB or something simple?
That looks OK, however I'm a little worried about the Vita sticks in that case. One of the reasons I'm preferring fully hard cases at the moment.Maybe it was already posted but I don't remember seeing it: (pretty shitty video quality) unboxing of the Vita pull'n'go folio case.
I couldn't find any better quality video.
I'm going to use my 8GB card for smaller games and saves (buying most big games at retail), and pick up a second card when my DD content gets overwhelming. For now the only DD games I'm looking at are WO, Escape Plan and SS.I know it's a lot of money but I am a little annoyed that there is no 32gb card on sale in the UK yet, I hate the thought of buying an 8 or 16gb and filling it up in half a years time.
I think you press and hold the touchscreen while in game.Does anyone know how to change the filter on PSP games?
It gets a lot of hate for the loading, but MNR on PS3 is a ton of fun. Most fun I personally remember having with a kart racer since SMK - drifting is perfect and the weapons are both harsh (when you don't have a means to defend them) AND fair (when you do).Spent a bit of time with MNR:RT last night, and for all the faults - not a huge graphical looker, strange draw distance on things like lines on the inside curve of corners, needs a sharper UI - I find it a great little pocket racer. The drifting is the best the franchise has seen, and it handles very nicely. If the multiplayer rumours are true, then I suspect it'll be a nice little underdog race for the system. WipEout slays all, but MNR:RT is no walkover.

Man this thing is coming out soon, maybe it's just me but I don't feel a lot of hype around this launch as compared to previous console/handheld launches. Even the 3DS seemed to have a boring launch.
Or maybe my group of friends just don't care for handhelds.
Sweet. US store now accessible directly from vita. MHFU incoming!
See here. Many games are incompatible. Nobody is sure if the list will be updated before launch.Could you tally up which PSP games are compatible?

I was really looking forward to playing through Peace Walker again. Bloody hell.
That was the Japanese version, which is available on the Japanese store. That list can't be complete because Peace Walker for the PSP has been shown on the Vita before. Digital Foundry even did a comparison photo of it.

Yep. Maybe. Nobody knows. Though they said that 250 games (minis and PSP) would be available at launch, which is about how many there are right now.So maybe the US store hasn't completely updated yet? Thought they planned for the update next week but started things a little early.

That's what the statement said, yes. Hundreds more. But more and more will show up over time, right?

On a Vita? If they are on that list, yes.Just a quick question: Can I play the PSP games I bought from the PSN Store? As in, right now lol?
you GUYS i just got an email saying my vita amazon.ca order has shipped.
We're still two weeks away from the official launch, but I seriously hope Sony add all previously available PSP games to the Vita PSN store (except for the bugged Phantasy Star Portable games).
