Just finished Escape Plan. Great game!
But the whole game with under 20 deaths challenge? Damn! Died 93 times in my first playthrough :D

yeah i thought the same thing... i wish you could keep replaying a level until you dont die and it counts your best for each level...

im going to work on dying in each level next because i know i can do that haha

Have been customizing my Vita and like the results so far!
I just wish we could move entire panels instead of just the icons.

I wish The Show and Unit 13 came out this week while I'm stuck indoors for a little while longer. This thing has already kept me occupied more than anything else but those two games next week will make time fly.

So I have the unlimited data plan through AT&T through my Iphone. Does that same data plan extend to the Vita or is it completely seperate?

It's a separate data plan unless:
(1) You tether Vita to your iPhone (requires extra $$ to AT&T)
(2) AT&T offers a shared data plan (also requires extra $$ to AT&T. Not available yet)

The latest twist AT&T wants to try is getting developers/providers to subsidize your 3G bandwidth:

Looks great!

Some feedback. Probably could use up less real estate by reducing the size of the category title and putting it in a corner so it only takes up one application spot. It feels like there's not much room.

Then, maybe put up templates for other photoshoppers to use.

When I started playing around with some ideas, I actually started real small, like you suggested.

I like this better though, with the big and bold texts, even though there's less space for apps/games.

I got to hold and play a Vita for the first time today (one of my friends picked one up over the weekend). It's surprisingly light, and both the front and rear touch panels are more responsive that I was expecting. Just holding the thing fells soooo much better than a PSP. It made me want to buy one just to play PSP games with a second analogue stick and without cramping my hand.

I played a bit of Uncharted and WipEout 2048, and both were fantastic. The aiming in Uncharted was kinda wonky, but not much of a problem after getting used to it. I would like it to be improved though.

Overall, my little taste of the Vita makes me want one even more now. Which sucks, because I won't be able to afford it anytime soon, and I also have to get a 3DS for Fire Emblem and Paper Mario (and eventually Pokemon). My original intent was to pick up a 3DS sometime this year (probably get it for Christmas) and then get a Vita later down the line after a price drop/revision, but now I'm considering getting the Vita first...

Good news there, we have a few more years to wait for the proper 3DS version.

FIFA looks incredible but the defenders are ridiculously overpowered and I'm not really feeling the controls. I feel like the size of the Vita makes it a bit difficult to hold it as needed to play a game like this personally. The touch panel shooting is brilliant but it's far too easy to accidentally shoot. Corners are a blast with it though.

I swapped the camera to Pro which is how I play on the console, but the field of view is not large enough in scope to truly set up passes and see beyond your immediate player.

I think I'll pass on buying it personally.

If anyone is looking for a screen protector, the official Skinomi forums is having a Vita screen protector giveaway, and there are still 2 spots left. I'm not sure if it's against the rules to post a link (is it considered advertising if I have no affiliation with the site?), but you can Google it if you're interested.

Oh yay, I thought no one used that avatar I put up. :D

haha, yeah. That's why I was actually happy that BW2 is going to be for DS so that I can postpone my 3DS purchase even further if need be. If Nintendo does localize Fire Emblem this year though, then I'll have to get a 3DS.

Back on topic, my friend said that he also played the demo for Gravity Rush at gamestop, and while he doesn't like cel-shading or anime inspired graphics, the game was so fun that he's going to get it anyway. Damn I really want to play that game.

Came here to manifest my unconditional love to Vita.

The thing is an absolute marvel. Spent four hours in bed Sunday morning playing Uncharted while the missus slept her hangover off. And last night, an intense few hours of Super Stardust and Mororstorm RC - all off which require two sticks.

It's like a real console, very different than first weekend with PSP when it dawned to me that it was pretty gimped after all in terms of graphics and controls. Vita, on the other hand, is not only the real deal, but then some with all the sensors and touch surfaces it has. And the graphics feel much closer to PS3 than what PSP was to PS2. Wipeout looks insane.

I can't wait to see what the next years bring us. Simply the prospect of MGS HD Collection, Zoe Collection and Final Fantasy X HD always with me excites me like crazy.

Love rant over.

Same here. I'm totally in love with it!

I only hope Sony deals with the bugs/problems people are having right now ASAP.

That looks really nice! :)

Is there a way to copy a retail game to your memory card?
Nope. It if was possible, it would require you to have the cart inside anyway as a DRM check, kinda like it is on PC in some cases and on Xbox 360 too (you can install the full game, but it requires the disc inside to be able to start the game).

Technically i guess it would be possible to have some DRM that writes something to the cart, so that the cart wont work in any other devices if it has been copied over. This way you could play without having the cart inside. But this could lead to some abuse, since then people could just copy the game over and sell an non-working cart without mentioning it to the buyer.

Just played the Dynasty warriors demo and left stunned at the image quality. Uncharted looks positively ugly up against this. Native resolution + 4xmsaa looks nothing short of incredible on this screen, its just so flawless.

If your Vita title isn't native resolution with 4xmsaa then is time to go back to the drawing board. Any graphics lead that puts crap like low quality SSAO full of flickering artefacts over the flawless image quality this system can produce is simply doing a bad job.

I'm playing and really enjoying Uncharted (especially the gyro aiming) but its completely ridiculous that the highest budget game on the system its also one of the ugliest.

People, don't forget to vote for Tactics Ogre so we can get that for 10. I have little interest in Dissidia. May as well vote for Dungeon Defenders for DD game too on PS3.

Yeah, it's crazy insane how good Ninja Gaiden looks simply because it's native res.

I completely agree with you, I really hope that this only got affected on the early developed title's, since they actually have an excuse(early hardware, etc).
It's quite unacceptable for future games to go sub-qHD on such a big screen, res>>>graphics.

Probably just asked: does anyone else's console have strange black stains on the screen when it turns black? When anything is being desplayed the screen is flawless, but when it goes dark you can see some strange stains here and there. I've noticed this on another console as well, maybe it's just the way OLED screens look before they're properly warmed-up.

Yes that's normal. Have the same problem on my Galaxy S(SAMOLED screen).

These next few months are going to be good for me. I paid off Unit 13, Gravity Rush, and Ridge Racer. I have LBP for Vita pre-ordered on Amazon with release date delivery. This isn't even counting PSN stuff! ALL Vita, all the time. This will be a primarily Vita centered year for me outside of PC and Borderlands 2 on PS3.

Don't get new wrong, Uncharted looks good and all but the combination of the high PPI, MSAA, native resolution and OLED display just combine together so damn well. I can give up some low precision postprocess and shader effects for that thank you very much.

Developers need to get out of the mindset of cramming in. their latest console technology into the system and instead play to its strengths. The Vita can't perform as many shader ops per pixel as the home consoles, but it can run with 4xmsaa enabled at a super low cost and every system comes with a gorgeous high PPI OLED display so take advantage of it.

Brain_Stew I didn't know you got one! So you guys recommend getting Dynasty Warriors?

Played the first couple events of wipEout. Pretty stunning game, and the controls are butter smooth. I'll be spending a lot of time on this one.

^^^ Ding ! Ding ! Ding !

[Looks at Uncharted complains]

How long is the Uncharted: GA development time ? Is it possible it's one of those early guinea pigs on Vita early hardware. So the developers had to accommodate assorted limitations at the beginning, until the hardware got finalized ?

Do the later levels look better/great ? I'm only on Chapter 5 so far.

I had an itching feeling to kill a lot of things when I didn't have DW on my Vita.

After I got it, itch scratched.

If you haven't played a musou game in a while, and you don't think killing a million troops is repetitive, you should get it.

Check out the demo when it's out though. One level can really help decide if this game is worth it.
