What the fuck were the fans expecting? They're showing up to an ECW reunion in 2012. It's amazing that these guys can even walk.

I guarantee they won't sell 2100 tickets for the next show. Shane Douglas's hopes of "launching a brand" may die with this flop.

He was expecting to launch a brand? LOL!

When I met Shane Douglas at Wrestlereunion he was selling this Extreme Reunion show as if he were re-launching the ECW brand, bringing back all the old stars and mixing it with newer indie stars. He said they planned on hitting all of the old ECW buildings, even into Florida.

Does he know how old these people he's booking are?

After seeing him "invade" RAW, it seems clear he's lost it.

I assume that's why he wanted to bring new stars into the mix, to eventually not have to rely on the ECW talent.

Yeah, but you need to do that right away, you can't have 2 50 year old men doddering round and expect it to be a good match, regardless of how great they were.

Can we call tonight finally the end of ECW reunion shows & can the 2000+ that bought tix support a promotion that is setting the future?

Wrestling, like anything else, can't move forward while everyone is trying to recapture the past. To the 2000+ at #ExtremeReunion the...

...spirit, guts, talent, innovation & passion that made #ECW special is alive & thriving in several promotions. Find it. #ExtremeReunion

Btw, how does an ECW reunion show outdraw Lockdown that has national weekly tv building it up? Whoever does the marketing for TNA is shit.

Same way you can explain how CZW is still around, Philly loves their hardcore wrestling, no matter how bad the company putting it on is.

Hardcore wrestling is awesome though. Barbed wire, flaming tables, light tubes, and mature storylines. Sapolsky is wrong. No other company is offering this on a national level.

I loved ECW as much as anything else, but its time to move on guys. Fans going there pissed and shitting on the wrestlers are stupid because they paid for the ticket to go there. What do you expect, watching a bunch of 50 year olds who can barely walk try to put on a wrestling show for a company that died 11 years ago? And hell, many of the involved weren't even there at the end of ECW itself, so you're talking a good 15 years after these guys prime.

Have conventions, autograph shows, or whatever - but these guys need to stay far, far away from the ring. And hopefully Sabu is alright and doesn't end up dead.

fuckin' called it, man
Yeah if you really want to watch old people who shouldn't be in a ring, hell even some of the young guys shouldn't be there, watch that JCW thing.

It's a shame Mick Foley was there. I thought he'd be better than that.

Hogan and Flair are gonna blow the roof off the place. I'm gonna try to go out and get drunk with Flair after the ppv if he stays in town that night.

Seriously. After Hogan/Flair, and ECW. I don't want to hear anything negative about Kane in 2012. He's a young up comer compared to this shit.

it's funny, and sad, because it's true.

i feel sorry for Flair. he needs the money... it's not that it isn't his fault for constantly getting married all the time... but the guy should be secure already with the money that's passed through his bank account. it's kind of tragic that that happened.

Hogan is just there for the limelight.

it isn't guaranteed instant awesome. it's awesome when done well but it doesn't sound like the reunion show was worth a shit.

Hogan needs the money too. His wife, son and lawyers took him for a lot.

he needs the money too, but that's a nice bonus i think. when has he ever been out of the limelight? i don't think he's in the same situation Flair is. Flair practically lost everything.

Hogan wants to keep living the same lifestyle and to keep his face on TV.

Yeah, it's just sad to see this for both.

i don't feel bad for Hogan. he's always been terrible. maybe not in Japan when he was Ichiban. mayyyyyybe. now he's a shadow of his former terrible self, it's just embarrassing.

not for him, because it's nothing new for him to be an embarrassment and i'm sure he's used to it by now, but i'm embarrassed for everyone still giving him money.

like his penis (judging from the leaked sex tape), his career came crashing down, and it hurts inside i'm sure.

Hogan/Flair is gonna be great to see live on the off chance of a huge botch or death in the ring. It definitely won't be because of a compelling story or good match.

Damn, you really don't like Hogan, lol.

Who's the resident Hogan mark in here again? Liquid, is it (or am I wrong here?)? He should see this, lol.

Hey, it's gonna be awesome to see Hogan vs Flair possibly for the last time live. I thought when WCW closed in 2001 I was never going to get to see this and here we are in 2012 and I'm gonna get to see these guys live. I could try to start a fuck you Hogan chant, but mostly I'll try to be respectful to the wrestlers. I'm gonna save my fuck you chant for Garrett Bischoff. He doesn't deserve any respect. Fuck that guy.
