Is there a new matter board guide up yet?

I am stuck on D-4... says I'm supposed to get a Halberd from a Dagan enemy, but nothing is dropping it.

I just want to unlock more free quests. I can't remember how I got the Rockbear quest open.

Just got on ship two, but I have work till around 6 eastern, so I'll be back. I'd love to be a part of this guild though. My toon's name is Magikarp and I'm a mage/caster thing...

Finally created my character on ship 2 (just before I head off for work)
I'll be back tonight, hopefully the server is up.

Btw, anyone have a guide on MAG? I want to raise it right this time

Played a little bit more today. Still confused, but I want to see this get an english release.

I just really can't say much about the game just yet.

I'm having hard times just to chat x)

I guess just press enter will allow you just to chat to surrounding dudes.

Gold letters come from guild mates, but not sure how to just talk to all my mates no matter how far they are.

Will be leveling up in open games.

You set the chat type just above where you type. They're numbered as such:
1) Public Chat (everyone in earshot)
2) Party Chat (blue, everyone in your current party sees it regardless of distance)
3) Team Chat (green, everyone in your team/guild)

Didn't notice this news till now... right before leaving town for 5 days.

How long is the beta expected to last?

Hopefully when I get back, it'll still be going and it'll be nice and stable.

Right now, I believe it will go until Sega is happy with the game's operation. They'll be configuring and tweaking the game and network throughout. Given the very rapid filling of ships, there may be more servers inbound as well.

So is there a way to transfer my character over to ship 2? I tried making a new one just now but it takes me to Sega's webpage. I'm wondering if that is because I already have a character made but I can't seem to find a way to delete him.

You have to delete your existing character. I recall someone mentioning holding Ctrl or something while you click them, but I haven't had reason to look into it. I didn't bother making my character until Ship 2 was open again.

Hey, guys, do you know if you can save your character design to the hard drive by going to the salon in-game? I'd like to re-roll on ship 2 tonight, but I didn't use a character I'd created in the offline editor and I don't want to do all that work again...

If you mean the normal text chat, I believe the four "channels" you can access after hitting Enter to enter chat mode are:

1. Anyone in the area can read it,
2. Party chat,
3. Team (guild) chat,
4. Whisper (another box will appear to enter the Player ID of the person you want to whisper at).

One of the buttons at the bottom of the chat window can be used to prepare the "cut-in" 3D poses, and another opens the Symbol Chat selector.

No, you can't save your character appearance in-game. :\

For what it's worth, the option to save presets -does- appear in the initial creation in-game - currently six variations of Mikan sitting in there --;; . I should probably go look where it actually stores it...

I didn't skip the tutorial and now I'm stuck. A ship has just dropped off a heal point, but I don't know where to go from there... Help GAF!

EDIT: Nevermind, had to change my moveset.

I need help deleting my ship 9 character. Holding control or whatever didn't help.

Im having a similar issue....im pretty sure its just my inability to read Japanese fucking with me.
Im sure there is an option to go fullscreen and then to select the fullscreen resolution.

My monitor is 2560x but i can only select resolutions up to 1920x...and even then the game still seems to be running at much lower than 1920.

Just select the third option there instead of the second, it should start the game in fullscreen windowed mode which should automatically run on the same resolution as your desktop.

So lost. Can't figure out where to do the MAG license thing, can't figure out what the elevators do. Can't figure out how to do quests.

Wish I could read japanese.

Sliding off things is fun.

So like, in my run I kept encountering people that weren't even in my party. Were those actual people or NPCs? Seemed like actual players.

But yeah, this is definitely what Phantasy Star Universe should have been. This game is pretty awesome.

The bronze elevator takes you to the shopping district and the green ones let you change blocks.
