And I end my run, meeting two fun people, grinding for their hard mode(Level 20).
Almost to the boss, we hurry and give each other friend requests and accept them at the last second. Man, I love this game.
Time to rest and hope a giant S rank doesn't haunt me in my dreams.

Booo midday maintenance. Surprised they don't do a typical 1AM-11AM time frame for maintenance like many other MMOs.
And maintenance came just as I was trying out my whips that I thought were daggers all this time. They're really fun to use. Definitely enjoying the game in general. The action is so fast and fluid, and it's fun getting swarmed. Had 8 or 9 folgars spawn after I busted open some crates, and had to weave in and out of them as I smacked them around. Good times. So far I'm really liking hunter, but I've seen some rangers around tearing things up which looks kinda neat too.
Are there any guides around explaining PSE? I've seen the things start up a few times, but I'm not sure what triggers them, or how I can keep them going?
I'm gonna have to review my kanji quite a bit too. I'm okay with the voice acting bits, but am stumbling a lot on the reading in the game. >_<

Since it's a beta, they're doing emergency maintenances as soon as they can fix something during them, I guess.

Ah, okay, if it's emergency, then I guess it can't be helped.
And yeah, the team is growing pretty quick which is nice to see. I hope I can catch up to you lot so we can do stuff together eventually. =)

Got my mag to level 21 today. Sigh, the gains are really slow this time around. I'm really glad that the weapons from the volcano free run finally give it a bit more experience than the previous stuff.
The dragon was impossible to beat on level 16 though, even with 3 NPCs. Guess I'll have to team up with fellow team members for that one.

The RESCUE interrupt events aren't that much fun if players on the other side have better things to do than helping you...

Yeah. The Proton Burst isn't even all powerful, just an exciting thing to see and use and its such a grind.
Seeing some of the high rare weapons are a treat, they really stand out from the crowd and look awesome to use.

Yeah, I've had this issue too. Seems just a bit too sensitive... hasn't really been a problem for me yet though.
hmm. there are a lot of things I love about this game, but other things that have me worried. the two most rewarding things in PSO to me were finding rares and rare enemies (which looked cool, to boot). I hope there's equivalent excitement in some form in PSO2.
I think they cracked the encryption but thats the last thing I say on the PSO-World forums.

Joining the Team
Once the invite is sent, you'll see this window pop up. Click the left button.
Then you will see this weapon. Go ahead and close the tutorial text box.
Next, click the top option of the two selections to the left. Then click the next top option that appears (as highlighted above).
Finally, this final prompt will appear on-screen. Click the left button to complete the team joining process.
Chatting with the Team
Enter chat mode (by pressing enter) and open the drop down menu above the text input field. Select option 3 to chat with the team.

After running with no problems for a certain amount of time (20 minutes?) the game suddenly slows down for no reason. The framerate goes to shit and the sounds screws up. Why might this be?

I'm sorry if a missed a link in the OP (i've looked but saw nothing specific) but is there a guide to adjust the settings? (resolution, windowed mode, etc)
I've managed to get to the set up screen, but the only thing i can understand it's the resolution (at least, i think it's the resolution, lol)

1) How do you actually activate a PSE Burst? I'm talking about that thing where the timer shows up on the screen and you get crazy drops for a while.
2) How do you set up rastas (MHF term for bots that are a copy of an actual player)? There's an option when you click on a player that says something like モノネト, but using that option just makes a weird circle appear around them and nothing seems to happen.

Hmm don't really feel the melee. The attacks feel too flimsy and easy to be counterattacked.

You can block and dodge enemy attacks. The Just Guard passive skill more or less completely negates damage if you block just as an enemy attack hits you.
