My dog ate my 3DS. What now?

My dog almost ate my PSP 3000, luckily it had one of those neoprene slips so by miracle didn´t do any damage to the system.

Also post pics of said dog OP.

Take your dog for a walk in the park, then when someone elses dog aproaches, blame it for eating your 3DS and demand a new one. Also make sure you bleed somehow and put some blood on the dogs mouth, make it more dramatic.
There! Problem solved!

Sorry to hear that happened.

Something tickles me though about how he managed to get the SD card out to destroy that. Almost like he meant to do it.

Have you contacted Nintendo? I doubt they'll replace it with a new one; but at least when it comes to transfer the games from one to the other they might work something out.

****

This made me remember my dog a few weeks ago. I was just playing on the DSi she constantly staring at the screen. Then someone called, I left it on the floor and she was just there looking at it turning her head like "WTF is this?". XD

Though mine, is not that big.. :p

I've lost all of my PSX games I had that I had in a CD carrying case when I got a new puppy like a decade ago. Same dog also ate my friend's copy of Kingdom Hearts. Truly, he lived like a king.

Your situation sucks, but it isn't too bad. losing the memory card isn't that much of a big deal, considering you can re-download all your games. Just send in your 3DS to Nintendo so they can recover your system data if you want. If you are still under their warranty just tell them you were trying to download a demo and then you don't know what happened next, and that you think it might be a software issue. Even if you are not, it will be cheaper for them to fix it that way than to get you a new 3DS. If that doesn't work, send them a picture of your penis with "Ambassador" written on it. I recommend your phallus being ragingly erect.

Weird. My dog jumped up on my dining room table to eat my copy of Mario Kart for 3DS.

What is it about this system that makes it so insatiably appealing to canines, and how can Nintendo cash in on this?

3DS game cartridge shaped dog treats seems like an obvious first choice.

Nah, battery not strong enough (lol).
It's because you don't give the dog enough attention so he figured he'll destroy it to keep the distraction away :(

My friend's dog chewed up his Golden Sun 2 cartridge. My friend gave it to me thinking it didn't work anymore so I took it home to try it myself. It worked perfectly.

When he asked me later if it worked, I told him no.

And this adds yet another reason why I want a Siberian husky.

Also I've had an incident where several of my xbox 360 controllers were chewed up by a friend's dog. Though we were more than nice about it (mostly me), so I understand.

Nintendo product wise, I dropped my DS from a 3 story height. It still worked but the screens were cracked beyond recognition :/

If my 3DS was eaten I'd be furious. The amount of money I spent on eshop and VC titles is probably twice the hardware cost. User accounts can't come soon enough.

That, right there, is the stuff that legends are made of :-D

Next time don't do your homework on the 3DS?

Pity it isn't account based. Maybe Nintendo have records of your credit card being used and can tell what games you purchased on the eshop and let you get them again. I don't know if that's a done thing though. I'd take it as a sign to get a 3DS XL if you can.

Joe, I'm a little unclear. Can it still be powered on? Even though the SD card is destroyed, if you do a system transfer, you should still be able to get all of your purchases again.
It can still be powered on but it's hard to fully open it. When I turned it on all my downloaded games were gone along with my Mii. I haven't turned it on since.
If you're right about the system transfer, that will be a relief.

It's a sign saying you should get a 3DS XL.

As for related things, it's never happened to me because i know better then to leave expensive things around to where a dog can fucking destroy it. No matter how "well behaved" a dog is, it's a dog.. Keep yo shit put up :)
