Nah they still dropped the ball on tons of other games plus I think RE6 was an easy target because it's a lousy game AND one from an out-of-touch Japanese developer

broken clock gives the right time twice a day etc etc

I am not surprised by the mixed to bad reviews. After the demo I knew this game was not going to be a critical darling. It completely lacks identity with the only thing going for it is the brand name.

I almost feel like they should have just included Leon and Ada's campaign with camoes from the other characters. Or they could have greatly shortened Chris and Jake's campaigns. It might have gotten better reviews.

As much as it appears to be schadenfreude and self-back-patting in here, the only people losing here will be the games industry and gamers, as this is going to sell like hotcakes.

Good. It's actually a really fun, incredibly varied game packed with content.

This game deserves to sell well. I think it's fantastic, and I've finished it with a final retail copy. Yes, it's not perfect, but to say it's the worst game ever is plain ridiculous. Similarly, I don't know why you're implying why we should listen to these critics who clearly have an agenda anyway.

Rofl, yeah who could've known that the guy who's had the game for 4 days already had the foresight of knowing the quality ( and in a way, reception ) of the game compared to us who were waiting for reviews and didn't have the game in our hands.

The camera does pan back in some instances, but it remains the same as the demo for the most part. It's standard dual analog controls with a limited FOV. That's my problem with it and, I assume, it's the same for most people though they've been blaming the controls instead. Rolling and dodging work as they should and see a lot of use in the full game.

if you're a gaming who somehow gets off on games sucking, sure. personally, i don't think it's ever a good thing when a bad game comes out, or at least a game well below par for a previously reliable series.

The only reason RE6 is getting "called out" is because it's from a Japanese developer.

Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 show reviewers are scared as fuck of pissing off the publishers/developers they're closer to.

RE5 did pretty well reviews-wise. No RE4 good, but still 9's across the board mostly.

RE6 on the other hand, now that's getting "lambasted".

So you're saying you saw the poor reviews a mile away by playing the game and experiencing it yourself while majority of the people here don't have the game? Who would've thought?

PLAY Magazine is the same magazine that gave Sonic 2006 a 9/10, right?

Yeaaaah...outside of these "official" magazines, or sites with big ads for the game, the game seems to be undergoing a tearing up process.

No one is disputing it has flaws. I was very critical of some of the same issues in the demo, but still managed to have fun. My point is that just because a game may have flaws and low reviews, it does not mean that it is beyond enjoying. I respect the complaints and totally see where most of them are coming from, but I still think the game will still have some fun on offer and would rather be my own judge.

This. A bunch of other western crap like COD and games I won't mention to avoid inciting a riot here will still average in the 80s at the very least.

That is why the original viral campaigns were titled "NO HOPE LEFT"......there is no hope left for this franchise after 6 except for a total reboot.

Off the top of my head, this is the worst reviewed high-budget marquee title since Homefront and Capcom's worst-reviewed retail release since Dark Void.

Bummer this is receiving such negative reviews. I don't think my love for Ada and Helena could even persuade me to pick this one up at full price.

Agreed, but you continue to ignore the fact that you're asking someone to put down sixty dollars to decide if they like something or not when the information they have available to them indicates they won't like it. It's not comparable in cost to a book or a movie which are much more impulse buys due to the lower costs/risk. I agree you shouldn't have blind faith in reviews and critics, but you're asking for blind faith in the other direction which is equally stupid.

ME 3 is not that bad. Maybe Dragon Age 2, but controls & camera at least works.
