Nintendo Direct EU [and now US] about Wii U + 3DS on 5th Dec @ 5pm GMT

Wait what?! How the hell do you save the pictures?

I think it's just for the purpose of writing notes, not sure if you can save them. It's a bit of an odd feature, I haven't actually had use for the notes. Maybe it'd be handy if it saved the picture along with the note, but it doesn't.

Wow, the Nintendo Network is down. Surely this is totally unusual and not at all like the entire back end of last month.

I wish that figurine was something genuinely new. A Nintendo Direct for a game we already know about when we're facing another potential drought bums me out. As it is, we're overdue for a bunch of so far inaccessible features, like a full rundown of TVii's operation and anything to do with NFC.

We all know it happens still too often. But the fact, that this "Emergency Maintenance" is sheduled almost exactly at the ND timeframe has written "coincidence?" all over it.

Chibi-Robo 3 remake for 3DS and released in all territories.
Believe.

Skip Ltd.s (the Chibi Robo dev studio) last game was released back in 2010. Before that, they released every year atleast 2 games. I doubt we will see something on this ND, but they are surely working on something.

what if they made an advance wars game on the eshop that you could transfer saves back and forth between your gamepad and 3ds

ha ha, now you're all hopeful and shit

I would LOVE a Chibi Robo on 3DS or Wii U, but Wii U would be preferred, a remake of the 3rd game is a great idea. :)

A Wii U game with similar gameplay to the original Gamecube one would be amazing. Lots of potential with the Gamepad.

Honestly surprised to see other people interested in Chibi Robo... I rarely ever see it mentioned.

As someone currently on Nightshift, I'm counting on you guys to keep me updated about these system updates. =D

Get to watch the Directs as soon as I get to work tomorrow though, so that's something to look forward too. I guess?

EDIT: Forgot to add to the Chibi Robo love. Need more games in that vein.

On somehow related news:

Junichi Masuda just announced that he will work hard today.

I hope cross posts are okay

Advance Wars Quadruple Strike.

Battles take place on both screens of your 3DS, the TV, and the Wii U Gamepad.

2 hour update for me... Servers must be busy?

Hopefully it fixes some of my issues (5+ minutes to close any app/game, hard locks, etc).

I know, I was just kidding around there. Both the things you posted had been previously noted, though.

Really? I'm currently at college and I'll become terribly excited even if all it does is faster menu navigation and system stability.

I'm really really hoping that it's suddenly a "Wii U is now a full-featured media player" TVii update. I mean, with homebrew I could stream videos from my desktop computer. If I can't do that with Wii U (and with generally universal codec support), I will be a little bummed.

They're setting up eShop on PCs and Smartphones.

Damn, when Nintendo goes all Top Secret mode, it's impossible not to get hyped.

You suggesting we're getting a Bayonetta 2 announcement? :)

Yep, just started the download on my Wii U also. Guess it is to enable Nintendo TVii

Does this download start when "off" like it can with the 3DS in sleep mode or does the console have to be totally powered on. I like the idea of having it getting updates for me but having to leave it on all day isn't what I want to do.

You mean the DS game that is actually Chibi-Robo and not Park bullshit? OH GOD PLEASE. MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Hahahah, I like how you say that in reply to the person with the Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol avatar. I certainly don't regret getting that imported from the US.

I wouldn't be against a new Chibi-Robo game. Announcement-wise, I'd love a release date for Animal Crossing and Pikmin 3. Luigi's Mansion and Lego City Undercover would be a bonus, as would an EU date for Rayman Legends (since NA is getting it at the end of February).

Oh hey, I didn't even notice his avatar, lol. I should clairfy that I enjoyed the park stuff but what I really want is a classic Chibi-Robo game.

Yes, you are right. But two mini-games from 2010-2011? And no games since then?

Skip also produced the WiiWare game Snowpack Park which released late 2010. Outside of that, though, nothing of note.

I'm concerned that Skip has collapsed. The lead Chibi-Robo guy left and joined Asobism (FreakyForms), and wasn't there talk about love-de-lic reforming? I dunno, sounds like Skip is in flux right now :/

Whee I just realized today is Media Create day too. Tonight's going to be awesome.
Is it possible JP 3DS LTD has just overtaken JP PS3 LTD?

I mean not in tonight's MC but today in sales made this week?

Or impossible yet..?

Edit- damn you bottom of the page lol
