Watching the trailer again the environments definitely make me think I'm looking and Pokemon B&W2 and not a 3ds game. I hope they touch the game up significantly as its still a long, long ways off.

Maybe it will be like NSMBWii and NSMBU where at casual glance NSMBU looks a lot like the former but upon close inspection its actually awesome and much improved.

Played through Diamond, SoulSilver and half of White. I didn't touch BW2 because (hello?) It's the same game!
So it should better be something way more appealing that BW2. I will be waiting for a good review when it comes out.

Half the region is totally new. It's really more in line with a same-gen remake if you need something to compare it to.

I believe they're making a tool for transferring saves from a retail cart to the eShop version later this year though I have no idea if it'll support Pokemon X and Y later on.

Well, if the two moves each starter does is supposed to indicate their typing.

Fennekin uses a fire move and a psychic move.
Chespin uses a grass move and a dark move.
Froakie uses a water move and... a fighting move? Either that or quick attack.

they aren't, they're selling 3 games instead of 1. the third version isn't a full on sequel.
