Really? It's one of the worst looking 3DS games. It was more understandable when it was a mix of 2D and 3D, but how can't anyone expect this from a full 3D game?
Where are all the people who criticized DQVII 3DS? This looks far worse and runs like utter shit.

Dunno the artists of this game, are somehow thinking 2D while doing 3d landsapes, thats why the cliffs look kind of grid like. Everything seems to be arranged on a grid. I guess it will take them a while to stop thing so gridish.

Just saw all this news. Looks awesome and better than I expected. Those don't look akin to the pokedex 3d models, they look entirely different, don't they? So they're actually rendering all 700+ Pokemon in this new art style with full new animations and everything for battle? Amazing. And overdue!

This screenshot in particular look bad. Aside from the super simple geometry, the layout looks like they didn't think in 3D and just slapping a 3D artstyle over a map designed for an overhead view.
This one is good, though.
I honestly thought it was that mod for DS pokemon that allowed you to switch to a isometric/first-person camera.

Some even said it looked like a DS game. If that's a DS game then what's this? Even if they to fix the janky movement, which is the least they should be able to do, it still looks pretty bad for a full 3D game.

they thought enough to create the title "Pokemon Direct", so my guess is that there will be more of those down the road. the entire non-trailer segment of the pokemon direct seemed like they were getting at something else. i'm sure there's a lot left unmentioned still.

If they had made it as a huge Wii U project, i would have bought the console just for it.

I play for completion, but with the number of Pokemon in the Pokedex in recent generations, I haven't actually caught them all in many games.

I don't care about battling. I did try to understand the systems and, while they are easy to understand after some time, it's so much hassle to get the perfect pokemon that I simply don't want to waste my time.
So I focus on the singleplayer. Loved Gold/Silver/Crystal, with multiples caves with secret shit.
