I would be on board with this.
I still don't think it would happen. This isn't a property the developer owns, it's DC Comics. I am sure to even try to get something like that to happen there would have to be talks between Nintendo and Warner Bros...it's just more trouble than it's worth. Plus it's honestly preferable to have all versions have the same characters.
I don't see why you think the Wii U version is getting the short end of the stick either. They have confirmed it will have the DLC and that it will have off-tv play. If anything that's a plus.
Well PS3 is the lead development platform, most tournaments will play this game on PS3 since that is primarily what they have, and the online is free.
PS3 is what I'm going with.
I'm ok with it being that too. Thinking about it, won't the Yellow Lantern costume for him require this to be different? Different outros/intros/voices for certain costumes possibly confirmed?

Promo images for each fight show them happening on the Atlantis and Ferris Air Force Base stages. I wouldn't take this as a guarantee though as we saw one of the promo images last week on Themyscira, which never actually happened and we still haven't seen in a match. Granted, both of these stages actually make sense for the fighters this week, unlike that one.

Let's be realz - Nintendo is never going to pony up cash to make Captain Falcon the exclusive rep. We have precedent here - SC2 - Link. Ultimate Alliance - Link and Samus.
Sports game - Mario and co. If there was going to be just ONE character, it would be either Link or Samus. And it would ruin the whole strong story theme they're going for. (Although if they were bonus unlockables completely removed from the story, and Nintendo paid for it, hey, why not? I'll take Link, Samus, Captain Falcon, and Sheik while you're at it).
Wii U version isn't getting the Limited Edition.
But yeah. That aside, the Wii U version seems fine. Better than most other 3rd party efforts at least.
The most obvious thing is the Wii U doesn't get the Collector's or Battle Editions. That means no statue, no fight stick, no New 52 skins, and whatever else comes with those packages.
Is Wii U getting all this extra free DLC, through pre-order or otherwise? Like I didn't see an option for Wii U for the Green Arrow skin from the Battle Arena promotion. I don't see the Red Son or Arkham City pre-order skins for Wii U either. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
The Wii U version could get these things somewhere down the line, but it probably won't be free.

They have confirmed the Wii U version will get all of the DLC but they haven't said yet how it will differ in terms of rollout compared to the PS3/360 versions. I would hazard to guess you are right about them charging for the pre-order stuff. On the flip side, whatever you don't get "for free" via pre-order you'll eventually have to pay for if you want it anyways, regardless of the version.

What do you mean? You shouldn't be able to redeem the rewards until you have voted on both fights this week. How is it not letting you finish voting?
It's never given me the option for the theme. The Arrow skin works fine, but not the theme.
I could never get the theme either. Has anyone gotten it to work?
I downloaded the ps3 theme with no problem at all...

You know, I never really noticed them.. But you're right. They are kind of stupid. Its a really strange placement for the glowy green streak.
Man oh man, I wish we could have gotten Static. Was crazy about him back in the day. Aqualad would been great too.
There's still a lot of nice pics here though. Looking forward to seeing some Doomsday gameplay.

Wish they would have gone with John Stewart as green lantern. Maybe its just because I grew up with the John Stewart version from the Justice League cartoon. Hal Jordan looks like a total pushover compared to him.
Other than Storm none of these are really mainstream, though I think Aqualad could be getting Cyborg level of awareness.
