Lets see the bulge now.
Am I the only one who thinks it might not be real? It's exactly like the Raimi suit but with better eyes. Seems like a fan's mock-up; which we would all love to see, probably. But there's something off...

Maybe they could make the lenses move about using the old Green Goblin mask tech that never came to be. Simple up and down when he raises his brow, etc.If they make the eyes emote, it would be like them completing accepting just how much of a fuck up their 'realistic' take was with the first movie.
Not that I have anything against that. It would be great to have a more cartoony Spider-Man film.
Yeah, there's no way this is fake (for better or worse) since the officially released promo/viral vid a few weeks ago had a hidden frame or two of the new lenses, and they look just like these. Here's the still;Webb already confirmed the costume would be redesigned, most notably featuring bigger eyes, so I'm not so sure about that.
indeedScarlet Spider costume is so dumb and 90s
What would be the title now?
The Amazing Spider-Man 2?

What I meant was textures, materials, etc. All that can be fiddled and altered with while still retaining the iconic suit. That hexagonal cloth texture or whatever is not part of an iconic anything.
Agreed, but again, it's not either or. They didn't have to recycle the exact same old materials. I just think they were short on time, to be honest.Neither was the basketball material.
It just made the suit always look too dark and/or dirty.
reminds me of Bagley's run in Amazing Spider-Man from the 90's. my favorite rendition of Spider-Man. Solid art. Didn't like his new looser style in the Ultimate run.The new costume looks like it's embellishing what Bagley and Bendis did with the Ultimate Spider-Man suit (particularly with the shape of the eyes). I am okay with this.
It's ridiculous the films gloss over how Peter makes his costume, especially when you consider that the suit from the Raimi films cost about $100,000 to make.
The ASM costume looked a lot better on film. The black eyes surprisingly worked well with the night time scenes

Holy hell, that's fucking perfect!
Not quite, but pretty much.So they took one of Tobey's old costumes and just changed the eyes and the spider?
Can't wait for that. Even though they're usually pretty terrible, lol.Quite an improvement, hopefully we get to see some on set pics
from 4GB GDDR5 to 8GB GDDR5
If we're talking things that look like something a teenager would throw together in his room

Honestly I would have loved to see him go from that, to this:
To the classic costume in a third film.
"So apparently Spidey is chasing a thief dressed in an unrefined Spidey costume. Therefore what I thought was a handkerchief...was a mask."
Wait, what? Guess that makes some more sense. From Twitter the movie:

They still needs this guy, hopefully in part 3 but i HIGHLY doubt it
"sigh"
