Her best friend Julie Brown is really annoying...
A youtube death threat? Getting the FBI involved? Really?

shit just got real. Man she is in for one hell of a ride after this stunt.
Kickstarter responded and said that Mackenzie continues to have their full support.
Youtube death threats is probably true, but then again... it's Youtube. FBI is probably bullshit. Her best friend Julie Brown is really annoying...

At least they have another way for you to donate if you want to.
Bullshit.Oh god. Now Kotaku too. This just went up.

The funny thing is, I found this at the bottom of Jezebel's page, where I was going to write in about the story. Seems like they'd want to cover someone seemingly exploiting feminism to make a quick buck.
This just gets crazier and crazier.
Kickstarter is more worried about making money than sticking to their code. Can't that and their other statements of support be construed as endorsement thus breaking their own guidelines? I've seen at least three or four examples of that hypocrisy.
Kotaku said:Susan no longer wants to use it to pay for tuition for the RPG camp. She'll do that herself. Now she's looking for ideas on how to turn the raised funds into something positive, without violating Kickstarter's terms of service -- no charity, no "fund-my-life".
Paging jschreier.Oh god. Now Kotaku too. This just went up.

Bullshit.
She makes a living hounding debtors and has raised millions in capital in the past.
She didn't ignorantly make this KS. She runs an LLC that is about raising capital. She isn't some stupid soccer mom who had no idea what she was doing. Kotaku insults the intelligence of its readers.
Paging jschreier.

It's only $20k. She didn't know what she was doing. It's just the mean Internet ganging up on "9-year old girl." (By the way, can't make a fucking Kickstarter). What a joke. So she´s doing a Kickstarter that basically has no goal right now ...

Wait, i thought the $829 was to send her to camp, not fund her videogame project.
The whole damsel in distress act she puts up also works perfectly.
Kotaku: "Well, maybe she has been spamming a little on Twitter [she was being a little too enthusiastic] , but honestly she didn´t know she couldn´t do that."
Sure.
They were one in the same. The game she made at camp is what was technically getting kickstarted. I guess you could say that.
Wow. Is that real?
Oh god. Now Kotaku too. This just went up.

Its honestly kinda sexist that he thinks she is so ignorant about this she has set-up five other campaigns before.
So then, could i create a Kickstarter asking for a round the world holiday and offer a photograph album of my time to those who donate more than $5?
Kickstarter's rules come across as really confusing amidst all of this ;]
He'll send you a personal apology for not inviting you to a party. Even better! If I donate at the 10k level will you let me come with!
"That’s how it unfolded. The 'Support Girls in Tech' message was between her brothers and her. It was never intended to be this gender thing"
A quick glance at Susan's Twitter page shows that she did indeed tweet the living hell out of her daughter's campaign to celebrities, women's rights groups and just about anyone else she could get her Twitter hands on.

Do I care whether the people who are donating the $20,000 are getting ripped off? Only a little.TBF this is really a case of a fool and his money, ultimately she didn't threaten people to donate her, it was some dumb asses who did it out of her own free own free will. Now you could say she's probably violating some rules but this was the inevitable end result of kickstarter, do you think if someone managed to raise large amounts of money from it through this that they'd be inclined to take it down. As long as it's legal and remains even slightly iffy in regards to someones issues they're going to keep that shit up.
Kickstarter isn't really investing, with investments the investors usually will get something out from the successful product you'll get divends/percentage of the profit or some other ideally equalivalent monitary reward, kickstarters don't get shit from the successful product, it's was alwys extremely close to charity, we're just seeing the inevitable blurring of the lines.
About the Kotaku article...
But then he writes:
Wouldn't that imply that she did go for that "gender thing"?
Edit: Wow, I just saw the Incipio case image. o_0
Is this woman going to jail or what?
I wouldn't really call that phone case thing a "scam". She's reselling stuff, and I don't believe Indiegogo has anything in place against that. Kickstarter does ...
A bit of a silly idea to sell those cases online, as a simple Google search would find cheaper alternatives.
