Man, 1UP's podcasts were what got me into podcasts in the first place. I remember being pretty sad when 4G1UP ended, and that time Retronauts ended but didn't actually end.
All the feelings :(

Yeah..ever since 1upShow was gone, has there been something else with a similar format to fill its void? It was such a casual and laidback approach to having a show on games discussions, and it worked. I miss the tiny parts in between where they'd scour the Mission for good, cheap food. heh

Holy shit, Anthony's story about going into the office after being a fan hit me really hard since I had the exact same experience (right down to Richard Li being the one interviewing me). Only difference is I didn't get the position :(

Well Shane is on lockdown thanks to Sony, and Davison is still at GameSpot, right? But he's an exec now, no time for podcastin'.

Same here. It seems like forever ago when I was a sophomore in college listening to Garnett talk down Warhawk on my first 1up Show. Man, I miss those days.

Its crazy to hear all the women on the show, you forget how many cool women worked around 1up networks. There really isnt a place like 1up anymore for being so open and inclusive of all types of people.

Garnett works at Shacknews, does the Weekend Confirmed podcast

Mark works/runs at 8-4 Play. Also a podcast of the same name. Translates JP games, most recently being Metal Gear Rising and Fire Emblem.

Luke, was at the time, working at Bungie

John, somewhere, he jumps about alot, lol

David Ellis, works at 343 Industries.

Those guys did alright for themselves.

Yup. My favorite part of the podcast. I'll tell ya, my Fridays still seem kinda empty since these shows last aired. I love Giant Bomb and enjoy listening to Weekend Confirmed, but nothing since has had the magic that 1Up Yours and The 1Up show had.

This really turns back the clock, listening to them weekly while training for a marthon a couple of years ago. And the 1up show theme... where did all the time go? Even though i haven't been to 1up.com for a couple of years, i have wondered where all these people went.

I never listened to the 1up podcasts when they were big, but I have been catching up with The ThisYear collection and watching some of the old 1Up Show episodes. What a fantastic group of people.

I never followed the podcasts, but I really enjoyed the 1up show. Damn, that was what, 6 years ago at least?

Also, now I wish I hadn't gotten rid of all my old EGM issues. Great magazine. Amazing that the group of editors stayed fairly well intact for so long.
