Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Go Luigi's Mansion 2!!

MH shortages in all of Europe or just UK?

Looking at Twitter Nintendo European accounts, just UK. Probably in Germany it's just out of top 10 due to the big amount of new releases debuting there (last week MH was 6th and 8th with 3DS and Wii U SKUs respectively)

Luigi...higher than Bioshock?!? :eek:mg:
What about MH? Probably it's out of top 10 due to many brand new releases, it should be just out of it, no?

Striek has a gamesmarkt account, he should have access to the top 100. But I guess everything below #4 does pretty low absolute numbers. Blizzard Fans buy in the first week or online. Even NSMB 2 charted again. So this week people bought Luigi or Bioshock, the rest doesn't really matter.

Sim City will probably do very well in the long run. It will stay in the top 100 for a very long time. Just like The Sims. Tomb Raider is also a huge success.

Someone should really make a new threas. Bad for Bio and am bored of the '3ds isn't doing well in Europe' malark.

This is Germany, not Europe. Bioshock sold probably a lot on the PC, it's above the 360.
I don't think it didn't sell Luigi was just doing good.

Games like Tomb Raider charted higher on 360 than on PC, because it's a typical console game. Bioshock is still considered as a PC title over here - It's System Shock 5.

And Germany is Nintendoland when it comes to Mario/Luigi titles, hence NSMB2.Regarding Zelda and other Nintendo franchises not so much.

Wait, didn't you talk about GOW:A being at 20th and Army of Two positions? You don't know about MH, then? Do you just get top 10 + some positions or what?

About LCU in Germany: it's listed as the "Limited Edition". Does it mean there is a regular one charting - maybe - sub top 10?

Sorry I edited it. I mistook Judgment with Ascension. Those GoWs ;) I meant Gears is on #20. The Army of two numbers are in the press release from gamesmarkt, they do comment the charts but only release the top 10 to the public. For the top 100 you need a subscription.

Aaah, got it then. Thanks for answering and for your usual contribution :)

Gamesmarkt adds all units and doesn't distuingish between different editions. The gamona console chart does.

Ok, thanks.

Pretty sure the Limited Edition is the only one.

You're right, according to amazon.de.

is Lego not counted in these french charts? I mean not in the TOP3 of WiiU games in France is strange

France charts are 1 week behind, like for Italy I think. So next week if it has to chart.

jvm

Gamasutra.
UK software market revenue in 1Q13 only 10.5% behind where it was for 1Q12.

Compare with down 29.8% from 1Q11 to 1Q12 or down 14.5% from 1Q10 to 1Q11.

Still down over 50% from peak in 1Q08 and 1Q09 (both over £400).

Week Ending 29 March 2013: £20.3mm on 743,045 units

YTD 2012 £182.1mm on 7.807mm units
YTD 2013 £163.1mm (-10.5%) on 6.638mm units (-15%)

Average prices are pretty high relative to previous years at this point. I'm guessing this is mostly the dire situation in the handheld market and the strength of the HD consoles.

Where are Gamona's charts? I need to know where MH is just outside of top 10 :(

Gamasutra.
So odd to see PS3 as lead on Bioshock Infinite. It seems unlikely that will be the case in the U.S. given the franchise's history here, but perhaps I'm wrong.

Gamasutra.
It is europe though.
I understand that there's a cultural difference. As someone steeped in the U.S. culture here, it's just odd to see. That's all.

It's not a judgment or incredulity. Just admiring the differences.

My purchase won't show up on the charts anyway. I pre-ordered on PSN and downloaded on release.

It's weird because I can't even access to previous console charts.

Eh, can someone ask Gamona what's happening now? What if they won't release those charts anymore. In the case, I summon Strike in order to know where MH SKUs charted XD

It has literally warmed my heart seeing Sly 4 and LM doing well. Well done, Europe :) (Screw the UK sales lol)

We need these to show publishers that we do actually buy games that aren't sports or shooters.

I don't get what's odd. It's the same thing every week. 360 version sells more in the UK and PS3 version sells more everywhere else (there's an odd exception this week though, BI sold more on 360 in the Netherlands).

NL is pretty 360 affine. Whats really odd about the NL chart is that Gears was released one week later there according to the charts.

And the Sly performance in all nordic countries. Has Sony the same marketing agency for all nordic countries?

Sony have always put quite a lot of effort into selling their platformers in that area, haven't they? I remember them going through the effort of translating them into all languages (Norwegian, Swedish, etc.) with their PS1 and PS2 platformers.

No worries.

That M3HU thing seems odd, walked into a GAME for the first time in a while and they had loads of copies on display. Wouldn't have thought they'd have them all out there if they had no stock?

I never thought it would bomb or anything, but I'm surprised to see Luigi's Mansion 2 kicking so much ass on the charts. Beating Bioshock Infinite in Germany? Mighty impressive for a sequel to a game that I don't remember being very popular when it was released.

Luigi's Mansion is doing much better than I expected. Top 5 in consecutive weeks in UK, number one in France. Going to still huge over time.
