Saw one on thursday. He didn't seem particularly poor either. He and his whole family had just awful awful style though.

I always see eastern european dudes at the very least wearing track pants. It's usually the older dudes wearing the full suits.

Basically anywhere the Russian Mafiya shows up, they'll be wearing track suits. I mean, track suits seem to be common among (fictional) mobsters in general, but the Russians seem to really like them.

I've seen it many times, but then again i live in a country that borders Russia and you live in south america.

rarely the whole suit, though, usually just the pants or jacket.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gopnik

Gopnik (Russian: Го́пник) (plural gopniki, gopota, gopary) is a sub-culture native to Russia and post-Soviet countries (ex. in Latvia, where "Gopniks" are referred to as "urla", plural - "urlas"), characterized by aggressive behavior, specifically towards the weak, a predilection to the Blat criminal subculture, and abuse of alcohol (specifically beer, vodka and "Jaguar" cocktail). Fashion preferences include Adidas tracksuits and dress shoes. In the winter, a leather jacket and tuque hat (known as "pidorka") are added to a typical Gopnik's attire. Gopniks have been compared to the Chavs, Spides and Neds of the United Kingdom.
