Having completed the game, In my opinion anyone scoring lower than 8/10 / 80/100 is doing so purely for the mass of hits from angry fans / trolls, with such reviews taken into account my realistic estimation is 91-96 average, if no sites linked to metacritic drop a low score purely for attention then 94-97 average.

My own poxy little site that's currently too small to be worth even mentioning at this point, but I used to assist with Famitsu reviews back in the day.
My own site doesn't put scores on games though, just opinions as I don't believe reviewers should have the power to dramatically affect the potential of a game with scores as in the end a single, or a couple of reviewers don't speak for an entire industry or entire userbases, I could go on and on about why but I'd rather not derail.
I'll just leave it at, anyone scoring lower than 80/100 8/10 should genuinely be added to peoples news blacklists.

I´m jealous, I wish I could go into Uncharted 2 fresh. ND finest work to date.
You're lucky. Its one of the few games I would gladly beat in one sitting.

It will also be interesting to play it with these fresh eyes post Tomb Raider, which I was very positive on.
I know everyone in here will say U2 blows it away, and that was generally still the consensus in the OT in March. So... Awesome?

you know how sometimes people look back fondly at older games and just gush about them, and you think to yourself eh thats just nostalgia speaking there is no way it holds up that well

Uncharted 2 has much better combat, story, characters, and set pieces than Tomb Raider but I liked the platforming and puzzle solving a bit more in TR. That said, I thought TR was just pretty good while Uncharted 2 may be the best game of the generation.
Daaayum playing UC2 for the first time. I enjoyed most of Tomb Raider as well, but I found Uncharted's jungle gym/playground combat arenas to be more improv-friendly and fun. Make sure you play around with verticality whenever you can!
The main advantage Tomb Raider has over Uncharted 2 is the bow.
Uncharted 2 succeeds because the characters are actually incredibly likeable. Tomb Raider was a fun game but I pretty much hated every character throughout. UC2's story isn't anything astounding, but the characters are so good (especially Chloe) that you don't really notice its flaws.
It also has amazing pacing reminiscent of RE4. There definitely seems like a ton of thought put into each alternating set piece and quiet moment.
TR looked really nice on PC though.

I think Tomb Raider was fantastic. I hardly finish any of my games anymore, didn't even finish bioshock infinite. For some reason Tomb Raiders gameplay just managed to keep me coming back and playing it. IMO the gameplay is definitely better in tomb raider than it is in Uncharted.

Tomb Raider had puzzles?
The puzzles in Uncharted 2 weren't much of a issue but they were difficult for me in Uncharted 3.

The question really is: Can ND deliver a game that mostly is only going to work if the story and narrative are good? They have never made a game that put story and atmosphere first, they have shown with Uncharted that they have a knack for getting the right voice actors and the ability to make scenes between characters work, but now they have made a game that is much darker and in turn more serious than any of their previous titles.
They succeeded in making Drake likeable and delivered on the whole Indiana Jones inspired lighthearted action/adventure game, should be really interesting to see if they can deliver on basically the opposite of that

I don't see anything wrong with those scores. I loved Sleeping Dogs and MGR, btw. Haven't really gotten into Bioshock Infinite yet.
Depends on the reviewer. The TLoU review will be done by Jörg Luibl and he really praised the game in the preview. Just look at his Uncharted scores.
He will give 92+.Oh wow... surely we're missing the point if we're basically betting on what score a game will get. There's something inherently wrong about attributing so much importance to scoring systems that are so flawed.
Besides, TLoU will get massively inflated scores anyway.

The Citizen Kane comparison was just there to highlight that people will be talking about this for ages. Not that the story is comparable.
I think that's the case indeed.
