A small one, something I never knew, even though I thought that I found every secret in Super Mario World:

The block there, in Castle #4, is a fake one. In the real game it looks just like the others. You can jump through it to reach a hidden bonus room.

Oh yeah, and this one.

WHAT

I actually remember finding this exit by accident on my very first play through that level as a child.
At the time I though oh cool, but actually I really hate this type of secret because it really doesn't require any thought. When a game accepts this type of secret as a norm then the entire game becomes a fucking hunt for a needle in a hay stack.

Thats one of the reasons I'm not so keen on the New Super Mario series. I don't want to have to jump and against every fucking inch of the game to find an invisible wall, thats just cheap.

The reason why Link holds his sword (Master Sword) in his left hand, isn't because he's a lefty. In fact, the sword only allows its use to be of the left hand and not of the right. Mind Blowing.

I'm totally lying.

I didn't like the older version. So I redid it in photoshop.
What's old is new again.

So you knew the old one existed and you reposted this one, why? You realize that the other one was phrased like a jeopardy answer/clue and yours is just a statement, right?

Anyone who played TP Wii or Skyward Sword would know you're talking nonsense anyway.

My bad. It's still a clue, the answer is the font name.
But honestly, DILLIGAF?

Not exactly. They just did that for the people who are right handed, which is most of the people in the world. Since Link is a lefty. It gives an awkward feel.

Besides, I played Twilight Princess on Gamecube and never played or know anything about Skyward Sword. Bahaha.

I'm aware of all that. But my point is, if what you were saying was true, they could never get away with flipping his sword hand.

Skyward Sword Link is canonically a righty, though.

IDK, before it did because you thought you were fixing a grammatical error, because I guess you never heard of Jeopardy.

Now it doesn't because you still don't understand how it works. Because if someone asked

"What is Korinna Extra Bold?"

You would answer:

and not:

UYWsrtj.jpg

Although I guess you still "LLIGAF" because you edited your post so people couldn't easily see the original and see what clever looks like.

The amount of people who dont know this is mind blowing. Id figure most people would atleast find it by accident

What what what????

I swear, in the 15 years I've played SMW I must have always spun jumped down that hallway and never knew this!

I take it all back. Let's get those Pokemon facts back in here. Something, anything, other than arguing over the wording of a Jeopardy answer. If I wanted Jeopardy semantics, I'd play it for my 286, where it would fail you for choosing the wrong query type ("What is The Pope?" instead of "Who is The Pope?")

DID YOU KNOW: In the entire Pokemon series, Meowth has never licked his balls?

You took it far more serious than I imagined anyone would.
I'm not trying to take credit for the other image, I obviously liked it.
If you're not up with how Jeopardy works, the edit I made is grammatically easier to read than the original.

If you have any further need to dispute this matter, please refer to DILLIGAF?

I didn't take it seriously, I just found it hilarious that you thought you were correcting someone when you clearly don't understand how Jeopardy works. It is okay, I forgive you. I didn't know you would "G" so much of "AF" Because in your own words you had:

All this joke talk about if Link is left handed or right handed made me remember something.

in the "mexican nintendo power" called "Club Nintendo" they once posted an article about supestitions in videogames.

as you are aware, in LTTP, Link uses the sword either with the right hand or left hand, depending if he's facing to the left or to the right of the screen. (meaning, it's just a sprite flip).

this was explained by quoting a suposed Miyamoto interview back in the 90's (that I can't seem to find) saying that he changed hands because there was an ancient Hylian superstition that it was bad luck to hold a sword with the hand you are pointing towards Death Mountain.

if you remember, Death Mountain is the top north point of the map, so, switching hands when facing left and right caused that the sword was always in the oposite side of Death Mountain.

I'm trying to get an exact quote, or a link to the interview, but I can't seem to find any. I think it's probably bullshit, but if it's true, I find it very interesting to have this quirky story to justify the lazy sprite swap, a ver common thing to do on the 80's and 90's.

What happens to his superstition when he attacks enemies at the top of the screen? Or worse yet, while on death mountain!

yeah, there's many elements to make me think that the interview was a fake or something... I wanted to post it to see if anyone else ever heard about it.

According to Wikipedia the reasoning is:
"The reason for this is explained in the official Nintendo Player's guide as a Hylian superstition that requires the shield to always face Death Mountain (located to the North) to protect oneself from the evil powers originating within the mountain."

And it is in the "The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past Nintendo Player's Guide" on page 143.

Not really something big but I thought of something :

In the same vein as Zombi => ZombiU for Ubisoft...

The first game created by Mark Cerny was Qwak and his next game is called Knack ; maybe he named it in reference to his first creation... ?
