It doesn't look terrible or anything, just very mediocre. Tatsunoko is secretly the best fighting game Capcom has made in a long time, so it's not really a fair comparison for the best of games.

Well just remember, those "spoiled children" are the people double helix are doubling over to please (by changing the moves in game for balance) instead of people who loved the original games.
And yes. it wasn't much fun to watch Combo breaker after combo breaker, with a million hit sparks, when Marvel is next.

It didn't even look mediocre. If we were talking about the old KI( or Injustice) i would agree. In fact i HATED the old Killer Instinct and this has gotten me hyped so far. Not to take anything away from Tatsunoko, but that game being great doesn't make KI 2013 mediocre.
Apparently reading is not your forte, those are called supers. Street Fighter 4 has ultras (you gain these by taking damage and/or focus attacking hits, so it's a comeback mechanic) and supers (you gain these by getting hits, and in 3s by getting hits and whiffing normals, so it's NOT a comeback mechanic). There is NO ULTRAS in Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. Also waiting on dem gimmicks

I haven't seen anything about KI 2013 since E3, but what they showed there looked incredibly mediocre. If what they've showed since then has looked improved my opinion may change though!

Overall I was reminded why I dislike the fighting game community today.
Completely classless group that is one giant circle jerk between each other. Between the crowd booing during the KI event ,one of the contestants giving the crowd a middle finger after winning a match, and the complete display of lack of respect for anyone who enjoys casual games (Super Smash) - I was completely turned off.
It's just not a very open community, it's like a bunch of ten year olds who are in their treehouse with a no girls allowed sign on the front.
These events should be about having fun, instead everyone is so uptight about everything.

I remember a character being able to turn invisible and transform into his enemy but that was a gimmick character not a gimmick system per se.
The meaning and intent is different when you use the word as a noun rather than an adjective.

Depends where you're from. In the UK it's pretty offensive (it has even been censored in games here! The more you know.)
Like you said before, it's nothing new.( FGC being filled with assholes) Something about fighters brings out the asshole in people. Though i don't remember it being too bad back in the SF2 arcade days, there was plenty of trash talking type shit but it was mostly all in good fun. These days with online and all, it's a different story.
and Twelve is low tier. As in one of the worst characters in the game.
Probably not wise to talk about something we do not know about right?
