Tweetbot definitely has iCloud "saves" across OS X, iPad, and iPhone, which they sell separately.Really? Didn't when I tried it last, and cross saving between app SKUs isn't supported according to Apple.
The Walking Dead and Plants Vs Zombies 2 work on iOS 7 b5 again!
(huzzah!)
Kingdom Rush Frontiers is freaking awesome, and hard too!
In lvl 7, everytime the last wave hits I get overrun by those tiny black ''spots'' of which there are a LOT ! (no idea what they are, can't find them in the encyclopedia)
Also, it it worth it to buy the original KR as well ?
IGN's August Free Game of the Month is live. Giving away Kingdom Rush for iPhone and iPad in 40+ countries:

Sorry, still no brazil though, I believe. The legal wrangling involved in rolling these promos out to new territories is pretty intense, I've heard from some folks.
Try this?
The baby spiders that the Matriarchs hatch? A well-placed DWAARP tower should handle them.
Just upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 5
Which games should I start looking at?
How did words with friends jump to the number one paid app?
I picked it up when I saw the sale earlier today.
It's pretty much a run-of-the-mill point and click adventure. So far the puzzles have been par for the course, and the voicework is not that impressive.
Although I still have to finish it, I'm not that impressed.
Worth 6.99? Not in my opnion.
Worth 0.99? Sure, if you want a standard point and click game on iOS.
Gameplay is pretty standard, but I thought the story was great. Since story is pretty much the main reason why I bother to play a point and click adventure nowadays, I loved it.

Has anyone ever used iFunbox to backup their save from the game The Room? I want to back it up before I delete the game from my iPad, but looking through the directory, nothing stands out...
nevermind I think it's just the "Library" folder which has some preference files.
Well, what kind of games are you into?Just upgraded from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 5

I'm all over Mikey Hooks. Mikey Shorts is one of my all time favorite iOS games
Had my eye on this one for a while now, hope the release date isn't too far off. I'm just a complete sucker for that art style.

Saw this Riot game on Steam Greenlight and it looks pretty neat. The trailer mentions an iOS version, not sure of how it will play exactly (only some button prompts in the video) but I'm more interested in getting it on mobile than PC for now.
Got the iCade on Amazon for just under $50. Looks really great.

Worms 3 has my attention at least.
I always thought it's the Documents folder that needs to be copied? ...it better be cause, damn, thats how I backed up all my games O_O
I want Worms on my phone, so I'm curious about this one. Five bucks puts it just out of my impulse range. I see it has same device local multiplayer, maybe I could relive all the awesome Worms Armageddon parties of my younger years.
Well in any case, one of us is fucked.
I just backed up like 5 games and deleted them from my iPad.
I just checked, 2 out of five had absolutely nothing in the documents folder while the others had something that seemed like save states. Uuuuuugh. This is one most annoying thing on iOS and cloud saves/managing save states should be mandatory to all games.

Weird, backing up the documents folder with the ghostsavedata.bin file did the trick for me in Ghost Trick (pun unintended), I tested it a while ago when I reinstalled to check puzzle minigame they added in an update and my progress was there.I always backup both documents and library. The folders are tiny, so there's no hassle involved.
There was one game though, Ghost Trick, that I couldn't find the save files for. Backing up library and documents wouldn't restore the progress.
Is this coming out tonight?!!!! Had no idea there was a sequel coming out. The first one is probably my favorite 'racing platformer' ever.

All over Mikey tonight
I imagine it will be a rather simple strategy game where you keep sending the guys against each other and occasionally activate some special ability. Could of course be completely wrong.Love that art style too, but I have no idea what the gameplay is like
Im sure the iOS thread regulars get sick of posts like this, but I'm looking for some recommendations.
I'm not new to iOS, but I have tended to go large periods between playing anything, so I tend to miss things. I've also just got an iPhone 5, and already own an iPad Mini, and potentially have a lot of commuting on the cards in the near future.
What are some of the best "deeper" experiences on iOS? Or "console-like" experiences that are actually worth playing? I like sims and strategy, and would be interested in RPG's. Are there any decent dungeon crawlers? I have quite a lot of score attack and other pick-up-and-play style games already but nothing that I will really sit and play for any greater lengths of time.
Super Hexagon - reflex testing challenging gameplay, but crazy addictiveIm sure the iOS thread regulars get sick of posts like this, but I'm looking for some recommendations.

FANTASTIC! Superb game. Truly made for touchscreens. While games like Kinetic Damage bring you incredible, deep fighting mechanics that make your jaw drop when you realize..."Hey! This is on a touchscreen!", Kung Fu Jumpu truly was made by people you can imagine understand the platform. The gameplay's not just "Oh, hey...I'll fling this dude and wow!"...it's pretty strategic. You have to calculate distances, predict what your opponent may do next, etc. It's like Rock Paper Scissors mixed with Angry Birds, mixed with Street Fighter. Stupid easy recommendation.
Well what a surprise how has nobody done this before now?
It's turn based fighting
You choose you character 10 to choose from,
during the match/fight you can choose one of four moves that are along the top of the screen and then you drag from your character (like angry birds slingshot style or fingershot rpg) to aim your move, But its not as simple as that as each move has a degree/angle it can be fired in, for instance a uppercut cannot be fired sideways and a flying kick can't be fired straight up.
also each move has a pause before it launches and then its animation for moving then attacking, some moves like the uppercut activated right away while the flying kick has a moving sideways animation before going into the kick move so its all about launching the right move at the right time, and obvious each move has a certain distance it can go, you can't go flying across the entire screen in one move.
I've only tried two of the characters but they both have totally different fighting styles and moves so I'm pret sure that each of the ten fighters are going to be different.
There's both an arcade mode and a story mode from the main menu too (I've only tried the arcade mode so far)
For 69p this is great IMO its worth picking up as I haven't came across another game like it.

This is pretty fun, glad I bought it. But with only four moves per character and the simplistic nature of the game, I can see it getting repetitive. I haven't tried the campaign mode yet, still gotta unlock it. Maybe it adds enough to keep things fresh.Anyone interested in Kungfu Jumpu tonight?
