Not particularly interested in a sidescrolling platformer considering I haven't really bothered to 100% NSMBU yet.

And anyway Sonic should give me my platforming fix.

Judging by the Challenge App, the Murphy levels are the best, especially if you have someone to play with you.

My fiance and I play the Murphy challenges together, I'm the runner and she's on the Gamepad. Screaming at each other because I over jumped or she tackled the obstacles out of sequence, tons of fun.
sounds awesome...have to try it with 2 players one of these days. if only it had online co-op murphy challenges, utilizing the gamepad's mic and speaker to hear each other scream...hehe

DKCR has always had multiplayer.
It always had fake multiplayer like playing Tails in a SP sonic game meaning no ruining level design. Games like this and Mario 3D world look to be gimped if you don't have people for local multi, and fuck that.

It will be a fun September.

They say its easier but I dont know, figuring out the two invasion levels in the demo were tougher than most sections in Origins (which wasnt super tough for most of the game either)

Just saw a commercial for the game, it advertised the Mario and Luigi costumes lol, hope it does well :crossing fingers:

Are the retuning Origin Stages kind of like a bonus unlockable separate from the main core game?

Edit:
Never mind. Mind friend Google :p just told me that its a bonus unlockable, basically the entire game for free mainly included to give Wii U owners a chance to play the first one in case they never did. Very generous of the devs!

A the 5th sequel to a sidescrolling platformer is classified as unique? It's only one of the oldest genres in gaming.

Compared to the industry's current output of sidescrolling platformers for home consoles and PC, yes it is almost unique. I have zero interest in what was happening last decade.

This is good news. I actually just started Rayman Origins on my Vita and I'm having a blast with it. For some reason I cannot stand the Rayman character though, and the over happy shit gets a little tedious, but everything else about the game is perfect.

From what I remember its not even really an unlockable, you have access to it right from the start if you wish to play those first.

Multiplayer? How about compared to other consoles not including Vita?

Then yes I suppose. For singleplayer Vita has the most levels and is the cheapest (and portable) but it doesn't have local multiplayer like the Wii U version.

Apparently the Murphy stuff isn't as natural on the PC/PS360 versions since he must be controlled with buttons.

Not sure how I feel about the Murphy levels considering I'm getting it on 360. I loved the first one, but I played the whole thing with my ex. So I'm not sure how it'll play SP.

Probably just play with my brother this time around.

The comment regarding the game not quite being as fun solo is slightly disconcerting.

My controller of choice is ready.

soon.jpg. I recently resumed my playthrough of Origins, with the intention of completing it in time for Legends, and am having an absolute blast -- perfection incarnate, really.

Rayman 2, on the other hand, I haven't bothered to install at all. I'm still a little miffed at Ubi for not including a Steam version of Rayman Forever with the Legends pre-order.

I like how so many of us will buy the game on Vita despite Vita being barely 1% of the market.

Grande GAF.

Awesome, thanks.

So Vita first, than the Wii U later,...once I have the system!

I'm still questioning myself if I'll get the Wii U-version. Ive played the Wii, X360 and PC version of Origins and I enjoyed the X360 version the most thanks to the controller. It came closest to the original Rayman and the feeling of a fast paced, tightly controlled platformer.

On the other hand, I want to support this game on the platform where it started, the Wii U.

Basically, if I buy the Wii U version, I get all the 'normal' levels from the other console versions AND the extra Wii U-levels, right? So the best of both worlds?

I bought it on GMG for £18.50 ($28) thinking it was a Steam key. :( Never mind, no Steam achievements anyway!

I've got a Wii U, but I'm probably going to get the Vita version since I don't care about multiplayer & the Vita version of Rayman Origins was awesome. I like the Vita's touch controls a lot better than the Wii U's as well.
