I have had stuff tagged by ShoPro, Sony, and all sorts of other stuff before.. with no good reason. Many times, the videos were trailers GIVEN TO THE PRESS for use in articles.

But yeah, Youtube is such bullshit on that. Also, if it were a legit complaint, YouTube could just make the video unavailable in Russia. I have a video where part of "The Final Countdown" can be heard on a radio in the background of the video that isn't available in Europe; but plays fine in the areas that Sony didn't complain about. -_-

Yesterday, a video I made 5 years ago and had set to private (due to utter embarrassment) got copyright claimed by Sony Music because I had used the song Fighting Dreamers from Naruto. I just removed the song and got the strike taken off though. If the video exists and it matches whatever content match criteria they're using, it will be blocked.

I'm still in Good Standing with YouTube, although I have had several of these things leveled against me.

They recently changed a bunch of things though.

First, I disconnected my Google + account from my Youtube. Everyone should do that, really. I just hate not being able to access all of my options.

I went into my video manager and verified my account by sending myself a text message.

Doing that let's you openly dispute flags.

I dispute every flag that I can and I never, ever hit acknowledge. Most of the times that I get flagged are bogus. Always dispute.

Also, I never turned on the whole monetizing thing. Which actually helps. I only have about a thousand subscribers and only about a million and a half views. So, eh.. there's no money in that junk. There's nothing for them to go after other than bad publicity.


But yeah.. this situation is bad. I made sure to use Downloadhelper to nab that Hiimdaisy Persona comic dub a looooong time ago. So, if anyone wants it I have the MP4 for it still.

Whoever is in control of this account has done a lot of damage the past few days. I wonder if youtube has any punishments for mass reporting of channels resulting in many getting terminated when they had absolutely no right to do so.

A user is harassing me on the site

Well after a total of 96 emails and them proving to me what they emailed youtube, we just have to wait and see what happens. I still don't know 100% why it affected all "Persona" videos though. It shouldn't even be that easy for someone to just claim the right to a name.

My art teacher has this bad habit where he types a lot of commas for each punctuation mark that indicates a pause or separation. And now that both are artists on their own regard, it's interesting to see this.
