Might be interested if Nintendo Europe do any other special offers like the last few Christmases (e.g. register 3DS + game, get free...) + post holiday discounts.

I tought that the 180£ was the price for the console itself. The Luigi one is 179£ and has no game; the Pokemon ones are 199 with the game, 179 without; the Zelda one is 199 with the game; the Mario Kart 199, the Mario Land 199 and so on...

Didn't come off as being harsh at all, no worries!
From N UK store so far... sort of hit and miss, some games are still being sold as they just been released on their for example, but for hardware they seem alright so far, just hope retail stores can beat it a little.

(BTW, off topic, but is there anyway to set it so you recieve notifications if someone quotes your post? I only come across this by just looking at the threads regularly, ha ha)

I never did a transfer before, but according to here http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2012/07/guide_3ds_xl_system_transfer everything on the new system will be deleted.
so it probably depends if the Zelda on the special edition 3DSXL is pre installed or in form of a code.
if its preinstalled you cant system transfer, I guess.
