What do the loot chests in the gang wars look like? I've cleared a few out, but dont see any chests? Whats in them anyways?

What's the fastest way to get money with the change in the payout system? I'm level 50.
Same. I put money on upgrading my Aston martin and still had my money. The money should be gone today though.
They're crates, just Like the ones that get dropped by plane from time to time.
I was killed driving my pimped out Sand king XL in free mode. I respawn inside the Sand King. A message pops up saying my car has been destroyed and I should call insurance. I call them, pay 250 and the same car is delivered to my garage. I sell the one I was driving for 65k. Profit?
The Exemplar is the best but you have to buy it.
No, the bad sport system is a great idea. Blowing up peoples cars personal or not is game breaking and abusable. Having a way to discourage it is just what the game needs. The system in place is not perfect. But being able to just sticky bomb cars with impunity would have been worse.
Right now the fastest and safest way to get money is to not play the game until they drop the first $250k in your bank imo. The server bug going on right now seems pretty worrying.
Apparently I'm fourth overall for RP with the crew...
Just noticed that i'm 5th in the BGAF crew. Not too hard though as there doesn't seem to be that many of them actively playing.

Yea, I guess so? Didn't seem all that rare to me but some members a few page back were discussing their inability to find one.
I'm actively playing, I'm on every night. 99% of the time when I say join crew! it fails. I think I've gotten in two games with BGAF total.

edit: Seriously though if you're having major issues finding one and are on PS3 add me and I can drive around in mine to try and force one to spawn for you. Not doing it this weekend though because, clouds.
I wonder if it's related to the vehicle generation code within the game. If all the players in a session don't have a car, and the memory starts getting taxing, it's probably more likely that the game will spawn more cars which players are using at the moment. I guess one way to test it out is to get people who have a Ocelot into a session, and drive them around, and see if more spawn around the map or in parking areas for other players to nab,

Is the F620 really that desirable? After buying my 10-car apartment and returning from some racing (attempting to host the Pier 2 Pier race in fact), I saw 3 in the parking lot right there next to the pier/marker for that race. I grabbed one and was certain it wouldn't let me store it, but to my surprise it did.
It has decent top speed and traction, but it's in the Coupe class. Unless I'm hosting my own races, they never take place in coupes. Always super, sports, sports classics, or motorcycles. Compact/Coupe races don't exist online.
But I've got one in my garage anyway, been sitting there 2 days--about to get on and get this latest patch... stoked to hear free roam deaths only cost $500 at most now, but not stoked at all to hear about all these saving issues with people losing their rank/money progress. Fingers crossed I'll have a decent session that saves.
360? I could fire up a solo session and invite you, drive mine out to Vespucci Beach or Rockford and see if others spawn.
That reminds me, is there no way to give personal vehicles to other players? No way to remove your tracker?

I like the look of it and the overall handling(feels like a coupe version of the Felon).
I totally agree with you that it sucks that pretty much everyone does races with Super/Motorcycles(although I can understand doing it for the unlocks across classes). I love me some races in my Tailgater or Exemplar.

Speaking of difficult-to-find-vehicles, anyone have any luck getting a personal dune buggy? Not the BF Injection, the open vehicle you can find in SP and at least use in races online. I haven't been able to find one out in the wild though, but have heard you can either get Lester to spawn one through calling for a call (haven't been able to get one through this, personally get a bunch of military trucks and bulldozers) or by finishing a mission where you use on and it leaves you on the map in the vehicle.

I read on the gta forums that the dune buggy doesn't spawn in free roam. Might be crap, but I've never seen one.

Dodging missiles by pulling tight turns right on the surface of the lake or against the edge of mountain peaks... pure fun.
So many cool moments, gun kills, dodging 6 missiles and thinking you're clear and exploding, dodging missiles so close you pass through their smoke trails, having a turn and burn devolve into who can turn the tightest and slowest, chasing you up towards the sun...
we need to try some city dogfights next, dodge and juke between skyscrapers.

I drive a Sandking XL and i know for sure that switching from off-road tires to "road tires" when i'm driving in the city gets me much better traction and acceleration.

Parked just outside on the street where the Eclipse Towers apartments are very frequently (its a singular car spawn location, in eastern direction streetwise when facing the Eclipse Tower).

Man, and here I was, sulking about not being able to play GTAO for several days due to being over busy. Glad to know I'll be missing out on the issues, feel bad for those who get slammed by it tho
I never knew this....and here I was grinding coupe races like some kinda chump. Coupechump.
I realllly hope that this is not fixed when they fix everything else, I'd love to only have to do this race grinding one more time.

Sounds like something I just caught in Pokemon..
Assuming your stats don't get reset this weekend, focus on doing:
Martin:
Mixed Up With Coke - $9000
Show Me the Monet - $5000
Editor and Thief - $4500
Out Of Court Settlement - $4500 (car can be sold for ~$22000)
Lester:
Hack and Dash - $8000
Ron:
Base Invaders - $12500
Landing Gear - $11500
Martin missions are probably your best bet, especially if you get Out Of Court Settlement and have a teammate(one person steals the car and keeps it to sell after the mission ends, swap turns next time you get it).
Lester missions are a mixed bag in terms of money. They seem to be the best for RP though.
Ron missions pay well but just take too fucking long. Landing Gear can be done fairly fast if one person flies the plane to the objective, another uses the helicopters to shoot down the enemy helicopters, and someone else(or the helo pilot) blows up the remaining planes after the plane pilot lands and delivers his plane(it might fail if you blow up the planes before one is delivered, dunno).

it really is a shame people don't branch out more. I host coupe and compact races pretty often, there are some great coupes to race in (Sentinel anyone?), and the compact tracks are some of the most fun in the game, lots of tunnels and turns, Italian Job style. But no, everyone would rather do 1 lap criminal records or down the drain.
Anyone know of any racing crews that actually like a variety of racing? Maybe I should just fire up Gran Turismo 5 instead...
FYI you lose any locked weapons after you die or go offline. I try to use locked weapons as much as possible and use survival as another way to replenish ammo on my normal weapons.

They should add a ghost car option to racing where you can only collide with the world and traffic. I'm so tired of coming up to a >> turn and being used as a brake, knocking me out of the race.

I wish this was present for everything but gta races. Races with randoms are just giant clusterfucks.
