Such beautiful detective work (to you, or if not then to whoever found it out). Looking forward to them.
Of the names though, only Volcanion sounds awesome.

I'm genuinely surprised it got snubbed from Friend Safari inclusion given its popularity.
Unfortunately, you might have to. They usually release one a year, around the same time a new Pokemon movie hits theaters in Japan. We will probably see the first one next Spring...
I know however that's not the weird part.

I'm at the same point as you. I want to get my pokemon to lvl 50ish before I start the team flare stuff. I think they definitely were planning on it. The FPS does drop when 3D is on in battle, so I'm guessing it happened really badly in the overworld so they just took it out.

Just tried this on the GTS myself with Hoopa. When I typed "HOOPA" in capitals, it corrected it automatically but when I typed "HOOPAA", it didn't. It only does this with actual Pokemon.
I also found people requesting Volcanion for Goomy.
I don't know why Serebii would post info like that though. The names were trademarked but their localized names weren't announced nor were their types. He isn't one to take risks ever since the incident with BW.

Even if the pages were up, it may take years before we see hide or hair of them - all we can really say is that the names exist. Maybe we'll get a sign of someone in the XY movie next year, or the one following that one.

Ooh, boy. Well, that's interesting. Apparently the types of the three likely events leaked too. Rock/Fairy, Fire/Water, and Ghost/Psychic. I like the sounds of them anyway. We should see at least one in the movie next July, so hopefully a reveal in the next 6 months.
I wouldn't worry about that. I'm mid- to high-40's and I'm OHKO'ing everyone.

Japan also sees the names and use the registered names in their version. Hoopa = Fuupa, etc.

That sucker can carry you through the endgame, especially once it evolves into Aegislash and you teach it King's Shield.
You're required to catch it to advance the plot (like in B/W). For that reason they bumped the catch rate up.

Story legendaries have had high catch rates since Gen 4. With an Ultra Ball, you have close to an 8% chance to catch it at full health. You also have to catch it (as mentioned), so it may be even higher.

Yeah, I know, but full health? 8% seems pretty outrageous. I should have let it kill me or killed it just to see what happens.

That is really cool. I mean, I could destroy everything even if I only have him as Doublade! Just Swords Dance and obliterate stuff. The thing I don't like about Aegislash is that he loses his Defense stat in favour of Special Attack and I don't really like that.
lol yeah. It's just that, I don't think I've ever seen a Pokemon in the previous generations that have Swords Dance that early in single-player. That is awesome!
If you make good use of King's Shield the defense loss doesn't matter.
Step 0: Pre-emptive King's Shield to gimp physical attackers
Step 1: swords dance Boost(s)
Step 2a: Shadow Sneak/ regular attack
Step 2b: If Target is immune to ghost immediately use king's shield to switch into defense stance.
Step 3: Sweep
Provided you aren't afflicted with Paralysis or go up against a Dark or Fire type special attacker Aegislash is virtually unstoppable in-game.
Gah, what the hell, stupid Battle Maison. Four goddamn times in a row a Scolipede's rock slide caused my ENTIRE TRIPLE BATTLE TEAM to flinch. While a Heliolisk blasted off Thunders and Focus Blasts without a single miss! Gah! There's cheating, and then there's whatever the hell this is. The game just does NOT want me to beat freaking normal triple Battle Maison for some reason.

Serious question: as of now, do we have any definitive counters to Aegislash that can combat the offensive and defensive forms? The only things I can think of are maybe a gimmick Rotom-H set and Mega Houndoom.

Just burn it or use a Special attacker. King's Shield doesn't bother them. Sleep works even better.

Doesn't Aegislash still have the offensive stats and STAB coverage to go Excalibur on most of the metagame's collective asses, though?

Not the speed or health, though.
There's also not a lot it can do against Earthquake since it isn't a contact move.

There's also Contrary Malimar. King's Shield becomes a free +2 Attack boost.

I have intense hate for freaking triple Battle Maison. It just hates me. I get near the end of it and BAM, massive hax. This time it was a Vigoroth that just dodged goddamn near everything that went near it. Ugh. One more try for the day.
This really shouldn't be this much of a pain. It's not even super triples!

I thought form switching was linked to its ability?
It needs to activate King's Shield (not necessarily have it resolve correctly, though) to go into defense form. You can't activate King's Shield at all under taunt.
It's an incredibly skillfull pokemon. You need to know what your doing to an extent to actually do anything with it otherwise you get read and die because of it due to incredible frailness.
Its ability enables the form switching but the actual form change is tied to using the move.

I'm assuming this is a Pixie Gem... but there's no location for the other gems yet either.

From what I can tell, there are mulches, Pixie Plate / Pixie Gem, fossils, vanilla cone out of BW, two Incense things, new berries, and some of the ancient treasure out of BW's Dive segment.
I think a lot of those items might just be backup carryovers so that if someone manages to hack / otherwise send their Pokemon holding one in the global link, the results don't crash the game / site.

I'm fighting Lysander in his lab thing in Geosenge Town. This is quite a dark storyline here... I didn't really spoil myself with the legendary info and what Team Flare was planning, so this is kind of a surprise how crazy this dude is.

Not really. iirc Protect and Detect can also change stances.
Also, simply PICKING the command changes stances. It's shown that even a sleeping Aegislash can change stances!

Yeah dude what the fuck. Maybe it's because I'm plowing through this game but it seems like over the course of like 4-5 meetings he went from a decent guy to talking about how those hundreds of stones are dead Pokemon.

So it seems Kalos really won over the other regions in wars and shit, but has the highest amount of death tolls.

While the overall game was pretty amazing, one I'd gladly spend over 100 hours for, I have to say I'm disappointed in a few things.
- Story was OK, but pretty disappointed that it doesn't involve the Legendary Pokemon in a meaningful way. "We have an ultimate weapon! Oh it also contains a Pokemon." So was the whole "Discover the secrets behind Mega Evolution in Kalos!" which is basically just a Professor saying "Yeah Mega Evolution is mysterious!" and a Gym leader giving me a Lucario because it kept looking at me. I seem to remember Groudon/Kyogre and Dialga/Palkia was more involved in the story.
- No 3D in most places was a bummer. 6th, 7th, and 8th Gym would be amazing in 3D, but no!
- Team Flare GRUNTS had a 3D model but none of the Gym Leaders, Elite Four, or even the Champion had one? What's up with that?
- The other legendary trio was...the Kanto legendary birds? Wasn't Mewtwo and the starters enough for Gen I throwbacks?

Someone dug around in GTS and found three more that aren't yet released: Hoopa, Diancie, and Volcanion (or something like those).
