You guys need to be careful about going all digital
Digital download size is 34GB, yet the disk based install is 47GB. They must be compressing audio, cutscenes...something.
I thought you can use an external drive with X1?

I'm hoping that they had USB storage support by the time I use all 500GBYou guys need to be careful about going all digital

It is almost done.
Pre-ordered games, so I have committed.
Lego Marvel (was told GAME will honour the half price deal)
Forza 5
Dead Rising
BF4
Got all the pre-order slips, gonna pay it off on 20th and join quick queue at midnight launch.
um you guys are trying to make this power gap bigger than it actually is. Development on xbox one will become better with time. Rushing for lainch is why things are the way they are. With the xbox one being more difficult to develop for it makes sense. If Forza 5 is 1080p at 60 fps and this is a launch title things will improve over time. It is just logical.I've heard this before and I think it's bullshit. I assume you mean they will both be getting 720p games or lower because developers will be pushing the hardware? That false equivalency would make sense if there wasn't a noticeable gap in power between the two consoles. A game that is 720p on Xbone will be 1080p on PS4, or it will have a better frame rate, or just better graphics in general, or a combination of those. Easily. A developer would have to pretty deliberately handicap their PS4 version to make both look the same.
Man, I love the thread title.
1. Because it's funny.
2. Because it's attracting trolls that (for some reason) don't take it as an obvious joke/sarcasm.
not at launch, rumored to be coming in the first big update.
Yeah, I thought so.
I don't see the "going all digital problem" then.
Agreed on both counts. Gaming is serious serious business to some. Jealous of you Xbox One guys. Maybe if Amazon magically finds some more of them in their warehouse on launch night like they did PS4s, I'll jump in too. All the UI/OS videos are giving me boners for a quality UI.

Damn, I was thinking Zoo Tycoon was a $20 title. That drops it from me possibly getting it.
I'm going all digital too.
Indeed. I got a 2TB external ready for when they patch support in.
And thanks internet, now I have to make a choice between wanting to be able to quick swap between games and having the ability to resale.
It will be soon enough.

I'm considering getting a game disc that I'd only play about one and a half times, then sell it back to GameStop.I wa thinking maybe I should get ONE game on disc just in case downloads are crushed or something like that.
What one game should I get on disk? Consider it a security policy for a Day Oner.
GAME were tweeting about phase 2 preorders getting good news soon. MS upping shipments for the UK?

Man, that seems insane to me. With how fast these games drop in price?
Unless you're a baller, then carry on. Please excuse the haterade.
I hope you do. The only thing better than being part of a new console launch. Is experiencing two of them.
I don't know who "you guys" are, but I'm primarily a PC gamer who preferred xbox so much last gen that I only have 3 PSN friends, and I wasn't even going to get another console until I reserved a PS4 on a whim November 3rd, initially intending to flip it. My PC games look better. So I don't think I'm emotionally invested in some "war" if that's where you might think I'm coming from.um you guys are trying to make this power gap bigger than it actually is. So like Assassins Creed 4 or Ryse.

Anyone finding any XBONE games in the wild yet?

You mentioned 720p versus 1080p. That's only true for CoD (720p on PS4 too until late) . Even 900p to 1080p is stretching it as tools improve for the Xbone. We know the spec so it's silly to pretend there's a 100% difference.I don't know who "you guys" are, but I'm primarily a PC gamer who preferred xbox so much last gen that I only have 3 PSN friends, and I wasn't even going to get another console until I reserved a PS4 on a whim November 3rd, initially intending to flip it. It is logical that they will both improve over time. That doesn't mean that Xbone games will look the same as PS4 games, it means that games on both platforms will look somewhat better than they do now. The PS4 has better hardware and an easier memory architecture to develop for. At worst it should vaguely maintain the same gap we have now, at best the gap will widen because it will in fact be easier to work with for that purpose. There is no logical reason to think the Xbone will simply "catch up" as long as it's internals cannot magically upgrade themselves.
The Xbone looks like a fun console, but buy it for the dream of better games, not the dream of not being graphically inferior at some point.

I never trade in games. I'm expecting marketplace deals on games too but we'll see (haha). Overall, just the convenience of going digital is the main reason why I'm doing it.
*Save space (running out of room for all of my games/cases)
*Start owned games instantly with voice
*Go from apps into playing a game (or one game to another game) fast
*Buy games from any internet device & have them ready on my console
*Can play my games from any console -- just have to sign in/download; no need to carry games around
*I have an 80 Mbps connection
So the XB1 is bigger, comes bundled with Kinect, yet the box is smaller that the PS4 box?

I'm going all digital for 3 reasons:
1 - I don't like dealing with discs. I know it's petty but I rip all my blu-rays and put them on my media machine so I don't have to stand at my shelf for 5 mins looking for something to watch, I just browse through my digital collection
2 - I want to have the fast game switching
3 - I'm hoping the family sharing comes back and I can let my family who lives far away from me access my collection.
I have a 60Mb connection with no cap so I don't have to worry about any of that stuff.

I wouldn't mind going all digital but my internet speed isn't good enough to handle constant 30-50gb games. I put up with the odd 30gb PC game on Steam because it doesn't happen very often, but when it does it takes a good 7-9 hours to download :\
what do you mean honour it? Have they pulled it?
Xbox One's is fatter, PS4's in thinner yet longer.
