This is amazing. Not just the billboard aspect. It's maybe 6 different, disinterested people photographed once and pasted dozens of times trackside. They just did a quick color change in Photoshop. These are photos of people at a mall's food court waiting for their pizza. The have no business being trackside at Forza. It's a bizarre and amazing creation.

Surely there was a cubicle of programmers and artists blushing when they finalized these people into the game. And eventually one person got the giggles because of the absurdity of it and, as we all know, the giggles are contagious so that cubicle became full of the sound of teary-eyed "I can't breathe! Ah it hurts!" type of laughter. "Wow we're really doing this! hahahaha oowww man!"

Finally they catch their breathes, shrug their shoulders, wipe their eyes.
"Ah man months and months and here's how we end it. I'll never forget this crunch time. Fun times. Send it to the boss and make it gold. Time for some sleep!"

Just got an e-mail stating my X1 shipped!!!

Funny thing is, it shipped from the Amazon warehouse 2 HOURS from my house, but won't be here till tomorrow.

Sucks I can't intercept it or go get it..lol. F5 LE has changed to "shipping now".

So..anyone have like $600 they want to give to a good "charity." It is called the "Get Shortt Sirket an XB1 so he can play Forza 5 with GAF...fund."

ps: I saw a picture of the F40, looks much better and glad we finally have the 1962 Ferrari GTO.

Where are the detective GAF to find from where they got the people in crowd? I mean photo are sure from a stock vendor (like shutterstock.com ) because they didn't hire models and a photographer to take photo that match with the environment (AKA crowd in a racing event)

I've just started career mode, it looks and feels fantastic so far :)

I'm still trying to figure out where my photo uploads go though. They don't end up on my profile on FM.net after they've been "Shared"...

Hm, the Drivatar system really left some questions open for me, not necessary regarding me but just pure interest to the mechanic:
  • Let's say my friends are all better than me or I'm just late to the party, does this mean I stand no chance? In other words how much adjustment is there to the drivatars, will it pull only drivatars close to my level of skill or will it adjust others?
  • So if I turn off all helps and am in the highest difficulty but friends always play in easy and with ABS, ESC and what not on, do I still get matched with their driving profile / do theirs get adjusted to those circumstances?

I actually really like the idea behind it, although it seems kind of vague (it isn't the same competition NFS has, in point of accuracy and actually beating the other person) and having only humans of course has its drawbacks, guess I would have to test myself to truly judge it.

Far out, 6GB update. Was this even mentioned recently, I have been pretty actively following alot of the X1 threads and completely missed any word of this. Luckily by Australian standards I have one of the better connections available here but I have friends I am wanting to play with that will probably take 2-3 hours to download this. Sigh.
