I don't agree with what he says. However, as an American, he is entitled to freedom of speech. Not that what he said is right, but you can't say anything without offending somebody it seems.

What he said reflects poorly on A&E, the network that has signed a contract with him to record footage and heavily promote the show to 10 mil Nielsen viewers and xxx mil that subscribe to cable. They'd much rather he keeps this kind of shit to himself, but when it's made public and their name is slung through the mud too, punishment is necessary.

Hunters knew he was, and they had already had hunting shows on the TV before. Its not as if they came out of nowhere, they have been outdoor icons for two decades now.

YEah I'm sure GQ magazine would have been knocking on his door to target that valuable "hunter" demographic had he never been on TV. Duck Dynasty's core audience is people who live and breath this "proud redneck" stereotype - sure you'll have some people getting aggravated at the man's comments, but it'd only come from people who already don't watch the show.
