Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 3: Ridley's Believe It or Not!

And Ganondorf getting his sword taken away at customs.

That actually would be an interesting thing. If occasionally the airport police came across the screen and you had to dodge him.

You could also have little stories take place in the background with characters who didn't exactly make it in.

Another interesting but unrelated theory I've seen has been about Snake's playstyle. People wonder why he relies on explosives and no traditional, kinetic-based bullet weapons: well, he's unique in that he actually researched Smash Bros. mechanics before entering the fray. He's not using explosives to make it kid-friendly, he's using them to knock opponents offstage more effectively than bullets.

I always felt like Snake's move-set was designed as a template for how best a military character can fit in the game.

If he doesn't come back then I would LOVE to see Sami from advance wars come in and take his move-set.

Going back to Pokemon, I feel the same thing for Ivysaur's move-set if they change up PT. I think many elements from it can be used for Sylveon. Going back to Pokemon that's one of the most confusing things to the series in Smash 4 to me. Mega Evols are meant to be the result of the bond between trainer and Pokemon which is why there are no wild Mega Pokemon ... so PT would be the best rep for it game-wise (Plus they made a whole mini-series just to pander to Charizard fans and reveal Char-X). But adding anything more to PT would be kinda shitty ...

So I could see them making Pokemon go ...
PT with just Charizard who can B-Down transform into either X or Y (X would be better melee version of reg char, Y would be a better ranged version. Would have to pick the Mega stone at the roster screen and the transformation stays all battle).
Pika
Jiggs
Lucario
Mewtwo's return
Sylveon with a move-set based loosely on Ivysaur's.

I don't know if they'd have a playable Slyveon, but I think it would be really interesting. Slyveon's really cute too, so I'd love to try it out.

So guys, I don't know much about Dragon Quest, but would people actually be excited if Slime were in? I find it hard to believe just looking at its design.

Some people would. I'm not too fond of too many third party characters personally, but I'd be okay with Slime.

Nope, I wouldn't. I like Dragon Quest, but I don't think Slime would be great representative as it's own. IF you have Slime as Chocobo Knight where he would ride on Chocobo then I would be okay with that. I know it don't make any sense.

Speak of Wii Fit Trainer,

Obviously, I'm at family's house for Christmas vacation so I noticed that they had Wii Fit Plus so I want to give it a try due to Wii Fit Trainer Hype.

I admitted that the game was just awesome. I really enjoyed a lot of balance and plus games that they had on the disc. What made it more fun is that I noticed some of Wii Fit Trainer's moves came from.

I didn't use it for fun, I used it because I had no money for a gym membership and it was cold outside.

It works if you put your mind to it, but you end up doing the same things you did in Wii Fit.

How well do it work? I don't mind to lose those weights that I have gained from those Holiday foods.

I'm a Wii Fit addict - it's not really useful to help you lose weight at all, but it's invaluable, to me at least, for weight awareness. It tells you where you're at, how much you gained, lets you track goals, shows your progress... I'm currently about 40 pounds lighter than when I started Wii Fit, and I credit a lot of that to keeping my health in my head.

You can work up a nice sweat with the jogging and the rhythm boxing stuff.

Sound good.

Hmmm, I see. Those features are pretty nice, and have you tried Wii Fit Meter yet?

Being able to link your excercises was great and makes it a much better tool.

Sure, but that's something I'd expect to be added in a patch, not a 20 dollar expansion. I like Wii Fit, I just don't think Wii Fit Plus added anything worthy of the price.

it is if you use it properly

it's literally just gamifying exercise

I can see how stuff like "Wii Fit running" would be helpful if the option to go outside and run isn't there, but for me, at least, the amount of hoops you'd have to jump through to work out with Wii Fit isn't worth the time.

Like, I would never recommend Wii Fit as a workout regiment. It's a fine supplement but I don't think you could buy it an expect results from Wii Fit alone.

As for the Fit Meter, I've yet to obtain a Wii U, but I'm planning on it soon pretty much entirely for Wii Fit U. I absolutely love pedometers, too (you can think the PokeWalker for that), so combining that to my daily Wii Fit routine sounds awesome.

At first I was hoping for Ridley, but after realizing the whole size issue, I kinda gave up hope for him getting in.

I'd love to be wrong, though, but I have a gut feeling he's gonna miss out, once again.

It's a good thing if you're only looking to maintain your body rather than shape it.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
Everyone forgets about Europe in these debates. We didn't really care for the NES so most of the remaining NES characters are obscure no matter what. Bubbles from Clu Clu Land probably has a better chance than the usual names that are spouted in these thread ie. Mike Jones seeing its had appearances in games like Wario Ware and NES Remix whereas Star Tropics has had, well, none.

seriously tho what is up with europe lately, you guys just refuse to buy nintendo hardware the last 3 years, even the 3DS isnt doing as good as it should over there.

Speaking of Garchomp...we could have Cynthia as another playable trainer with Garchomp, Lucario and maybe Glaceon? I dunno, would be cool to have another trainer.

I hate that idea, personally. I 'd rather have them be full fledged characters, and not hindered by stat sharing, and missing a move so they can be switched out.

Waluigi can't get in because he's not established well enough in any game universe to even have an icon to use for Smash bros.

By playable you mean that she'll be the one fighting and shooting Garchomp energy beams from her hands right?
