UPDATE: We have been alerted that the first add-on content pack for Dead Rising 3 is currently not showing as available for purchase or download. We know you're all eager to play, and the issue is being worked on now. We’ll provide an update as soon as possible!

Just now.

If someone has a code for the Golden Sledgesaw, let me know plox.

Can't believe the update isn't out now, surely they would have had it all ready and sorted considering they delayed the thing.

Bummed. Was hoping to play the new episode today. At least the devs know there is an issue and are looking into it. I'll go back to Ryse while they sort this out.

Khaaannn! I was really looking forward to playing this tonight as I'm real busy tomorrow.

Don't we technically have the Dlc already? Flick a switch to activate it?

I'm not angry with you Capcom/Microsoft, just disappointed.

Just playing the DLC now. Haven't played the game in a few weeks but I seem to have reset back from level 50 to level 46. Not sure why that happened. No big I guess. Leveling up is easy.

The DLC only seems to be available directly through the Add-ons section of the Store.

Kane was Level 50 for me, so no problems there.

Handily all the collectibles and that carry over into the dlc. So you can finish collecting your blueprints/Frank statues/PP trials etc. if you haven't already.

Hmm, it seems like you can make combo cars and vehicles and you can get any combo cars at a garage...but you can't get combo weapons from the lockers at the safe houses. Am I wrong?

I've been able to get weapons out of the mobile locker, but I haven't gotten into a safe house yet.

Just finished the DLC. It's pretty bad. 4 very short story missions. All of them are of the go to waypoint and kill all enemies variety. And all the missions take place in areas used in the main game aswell. If you are already max level and don't get distracted killing zombies you could probably finish it in a couple of hours with all side missions/achievements etc.

You can take combo weapons out of the lockers in the safe houses. In the main game that's for sure.

If you use the ultimate versions of a combo weapon, you're limited to 2 then it goes on a cool down.

Impressions so far for the new DLC, seems like more of the same really. The zombies certainly are more grabby, that's for sure. You have a new "collectible" in hacking security cameras and in retrieving dog tags of fallen comrades.

So far I've been told to go somewhere and fetch something.

Did get a new blueprint. Definitely wished there were more new weapons though. I do love me some Dead Rising 3.

DLC episode 1, there's no lockers in safe houses but you can still use the mobile locker.

Anyone have any problem with shaking the controller?

I never had an issue with it prior to the DLC. I thought it might be Kinect at first, but I tested it and it's OK. Then I spoke to my brother and he had the issue too.

I actually died because a zombie grabbed me, and the game wouldn't respond. It then dawned on me for the first time that DR3 is unplayable without Kinect.

Or is there an alternative I don't know about?

When you finish the DLC you can't go back into the world to finish your Episode 1 collectibles. You have to start a new game. It keeps your progress but you actually have to do a couple of story missions before you get access to some of them so it might be easier to just finish up the collectibles before you finish the dlc.

Edit: Had no issues shaking zombies off throughout the dlc using the Kinect.

New DLC really makes the black crush in this game stand out. It's awful and I'm about to quit it halfway through because it's so dark. I wish Capcom would fix this.

so Untold Stories is almost literally untold and forgotten DLC?
The release was delayed (both in date and activation) and there are nearly no reviews.

Verdict, good or bad?

As far as the patch issue.
The size doesn't totally bother me, if it was indeed to fix issues with a bulk of the game.
But I heard the patch actually contained the DLC. Forcing everyone to download that is kind of bad.
Refusing to accept the patch would break co-op since you have to download patches to connect online.

I have it set that way. Blacks are still crushed even with the gamma all the way up. It's an issue with some type of filter the game uses. It was fixed in Killer Instinct and needs to be fixed in this game.

It wasnt really fixed in KI they just made it "a bit brighter" which does not fix the black crush. I wonder if those guys even know what that means sometimes...

Not going to lie, it's going to take more than an automatic shotgun to get me going.

I must admit I did buy it in the hope of finishing the last remaining achievements.

It's just more of the same really. Nothing revolutionary. And actually a little more restricted compared to the main game (no costume change, access to safe houses, so far that is).

Been playing the DLC now for 2,5 hours, still not at the end. And I have far from collected everything so far, I don't know what those guys at gamesided were smoking but it doesn't take 45 minutes to do everything in the first DLC.

Auto shotgun is great, but the mini gun...hnnnggg. Also the new combo weapon is pretty awesome too. Finished the DLC last night. It was a little shorter than I'd like, but I like how it ties into the main story. My biggest disappointment with it was all clothing items are turned off for the episode. Can't do missions with a "Happy New Year" hat on and that's a bummer. I wonder if kane's outfit is available to Nick in the main game. Also the new vehicles is very satisfying.

I finished it and it took me about two hours but I didn't do everything. I thought I had time but I did a story mission and didn't realise it was the last one. I can go back and do it again though because it was pretty good. I'm looking forward to the rest of the DLC now

Did the really big patch add some weird stuttering for anyone else? It wasn't doing it before I patched, so I assume it was that.

I don't see missing details in KI because of the black levels, though. In DR3 you can turn the gamma to max and STILL not see stuff.

I liked the DLC, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Even at the season pass price of $7.50, it's very short and adds little content. So if you're sitting on the fence, skip it. Wait for a sale.

If you simply can't get enough DR3 right now (like me!), you'll enjoy it. If you're not done with the main game and are looking to 1K it, you'll likely enjoy the change-of-pace option for the grinding aspects as well.
