Contrary to what some fanboys would have you believe then. Supposedly it could keep cool under any conditions.

No tech should be placed in a tight spot like that. If people are that stupid, that's on them.
Oh I think it is fairly obvious this system heavily relies on being well ventilated, Sony literally are making it the primary factor of the console itself, so anyone who thinks it runs cool under any condition is a fool.

so then this is the bootscreen of the ps5. that ps5 in the displaybox is just a dummy.

Right side is white. So does that mean the console has 2 different colors while running? The blue part you see is probably a mix of the white led and, you know, that big ass TV right next to it with a blue background

I have no idea what you are talking about, I dont think you do either.

If its concern over heat sinks require air ? Either way, its a poor effort and even worse knowledge.

I'm buying an XSX but bringing up this one pic of the PS5 overheating is just sad and grasping at straws. There was a post made in the other next-gen news thread about an XSX failing for a reviewer, but at least people aren't dwelling too much on that and keep posting it over and over to spread FUD.

I'm looking forward to the PS5 reviews with interest like anyone else even though I'm not getting one. The console looks solid and the controller really seems to bring in some great new tech. Both consoles offer an exciting proposition (mainly GamePass for me), so there's no need to put the other camp down just to validate your purchase.

I have a very rough idea of what I am talking about just maybe not explaining it right.

Sony's main priority is keeping this console cool, which requires ventilation and techniques like the heatsink and liquid metal to keep the heat in specific areas and to allow airflow to be consistent.

That is why the console literally has all those vents at the back and on the front facing sides, it is why they invested heavily in liquid metal and have a huge heatsink and fan.

I may not know all about engineering a console (which I really don't lmao!) but it is clear to see what Sony are doing and why, and it is obvious that keeping the console in a tight enclosure like the display units isn't going to work well as consoles get hotter and hotter with each gen due to more processing power and as a result need to stay cooler.

Don't pass gaas, it is your Destiny!
Wonder if it’s after the Xbox release to hold up 3rd party comparisons, don’t want to start off on a bad foot.

I want. No, I need to see more spiderman gameplay.
I have both pre-ordered, I've been in the xbox eco-system for years. But i really need spiderman, can't wait. I have never prayed the first, so I'm looking forward to playing both on the ps5 ....

HERE COME THE SPIDERMAN REVIEWS

This guy thinks 4K native 60 with ray tracing is easy or something.

It’s unfortunate though that you have to choose between either having ray-tracing and all the trimmings at 30fps or 60fps with no ray-tracing and only upscaled 4K. We’re still disappointed that neither next gen console can manage both at the same time but given this is a launch game that reuses so many last gen assets this is still a surprisingly impressive technical showcase.

Nonsense review.

This is the reality of next gen, we've been vaguely promised the world, and nobody is going to get it with any of this hardware.

Miles Morales "only around 8 hours long", :messenger_grimmacing_

Metro Review: "As was eventually made plain, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is not Spider-Man 2. It does take place after the events of the first game but it’s only around eight hours long and casts you as Miles Morales rather than the older Peter Parker – who spends the majority of the game on a working holiday in Europe."

ummm thank god i never completed part 1.....im gonna start with that first and then move onto it

No quick resume/switch. It boots games up from scratch.

Like the Xbox Series X, the PlayStation 5 is also able to quick resume a game if you turn it off and come back to it later. Although the Switcher icon that some noticed on the Home menu is basically just a history button, showing you the last few games or apps that you used and starting them up from scratch if you want to play them again.

They are impressed

In terms of graphical power, the tech specs suggest that the PlayStation 5 is slightly less powerful than the Xbox Series X, while its SSD is faster. Since there’s no game that is even close to pushing the capabilities of the Xbox Series X there’s no way to demonstrate that yet, and in any case we’re only able to talk about Astro’s Playroom and Spider-Man: Miles Morales at the moment – but both those games are far more impressive, and interesting, than anything we’ve seen on the Xbox Series X.

I thought it could something like this, I think it should include the activity 'deeplinks'.

Lofty praise from Metro for Miles Morales.

There’s also a second character, who we won’t name, who’s equally engaging given his moral ambiguity and his existing relationship with Miles. The last few hours in particular are hugely compelling and conclude with one of the best endings to any game this/last generation (we’re not quite sure how to aim that compliment).

On a bad foot like releasing with no exclusives? You're reaching hard

mute Point on that, it has games that aren’t on consoles but will be ignored. Gears tactics being a big one., but doesn’t support the narrative. a Remake and an 8hr side game isn’t more compelling to me then The best place to play Vahalla or the other big 3rd party games this year.

Fuck. Only a single game in quick resume confirmed:

from the metro review.

noooo. This was one of my most requested features.

Rest mode says "suspend your games". Maybe the switcher is not part of the "quick resume" feature.
