Out of curiosity am I the only person that cares more about DTS-HD MA than the new look of the PSN store?

i'd say i'm slightly leaning towards giving DTS-HD MA the nod, as i have been waiting for that longer then a new store
 
So I wonder what the stealth improvements will be. The little things help. In a recent one, we got the ability to press the 'Enter' key on a USB keyboard to enter in text. Before it did nothing and I had to pick up the controller or use the arrow keys and scroll over and click on "search/enter/submit/whatever else". It also allowed the ability to stream videos on GameTrailers (by clicking on download and then WMV). Though I prefer saving them (pressing triangle over the WMV option-> file -> save target). This is useful stuff. No need to bitch over a 5-10 minute update.

Do you people bitch when your web browser has new and practical updates? Fucking babies.
 
I'd care more about it if I had an HDMI-capable receiver. I'm still running my old receiver, but I definitely will appreciate it when I do get one and will be able to hear X-Men 3 in all its aural splendor (even given there isn't much splendid about the movie anyway). :lol

Can you tell me how exactly an HDMI reciever works? I never actually got it. Do you run an HDMI cable from your PS3 to the reciever? If so, does that mean the reciever has an HDMI out to the TV? Boggles my mind. I've yet to purchase a true surround sound system.

yes, hdmi to reciever, hdmi from reciever to tv, reciever has hdmi switching, etc.

And the real problem is that the same shit repeats in every fucking firmware update. It's like if we had a Sony retard squad entering in every hardware related X360 thread and whining about X360 not having the fan self cleaning system the PS3 has or some other insignificant crap.

Indeed.

Compared to when I bought the system in 06, it has improved drastically, and I love it, even if I don't use ALL the features. It doesn't feel outdated. Still shiny, sexy, and new.
 
Hmm, integration with the net and PSN ?! like example some Sony sites has already used PSN account integrate on the forum account.

Something to do with "Game statistics, leaderboards, clan matches, DLC and also be able to see who is online."

The post was written by the guy from Konami doing the MGS4 cover art reveal though, not an official PSN/PS3 PR guy. So the announcement is probably going to be MGS related...

MGS1 on PSN this Thursday perhaps?
 
What could the surprise be? I don't remember anything showing up on the release schedule that would coincide with this. Could it be Home beta? :D PEACE.

Probably. Which would put me in an odd position, since I just bought the MGS Collection, but I really want to encourage Konami to put PS1 games (*coughDDRcough*) on the PSN. Maybe I could buy it, then never download it so I don't have to explain to my fiancee why I bought two copies of MGS1... :lol

I think this comes from PSN being developed after XBL and sharing some similar features, many of which XBL pioneered on consoles. People see this then they want ALL of the features they have grown to love about the Microsoft's online service.
 
Way to get me all excited; it can't be anything as good as that IGN post mentions. That post is almost like a troll but instead of upsetting people it just fills them with false hope.

I'll just say it's probably an MGS4 XMB theme to try and calm myself down.
 
So something MGS related, a surprise, today (its the 14th where I am). What are they trying to do to me

Well, I will say this about IGN: About a good five months before Kotaku leaked the Home information, an IGN poster detailed HOME with a stunning degree of accuracy (told us about the apartments, movie theater, game spaces and so on) and a ton of us didn't believe him. He was the first to leak out Home info (Doel can back me up on this).

That said, I would still take this info with a huge grain of salt.
