Do those wrist straps not come with the system itself? Bought a system and a second pair of joy-cons, which from what I can tell do come with the straps. Just wondering why they would sell the straps by themselves if all joy-cons came with them already. Or is it just to have different color options?

I think the presentation showed that two of the standard black ones come with the system.

As above, it's just options. And to further elaborate, the systems and joy-cons all seem to come with black straps which are not sold separately. Gray, red and blue straps can be purchased on their own.

I broke down and pre-ordered Hitman The Complete First Season Steelbook Edition and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Switch. Didn't quite hit the $100 so I threw in a $5 VC NBA 2K17 download code that I'll give to my brother.

Order total was $100.97 and it went down to $83.80 after the discount and taxes. Basically $42 bucks for each game on day one. Can't complain, I don't think I'd get a better deal on Mario Kart around launch but I can't help but think that Hitman game around Bf of this year of even sooner would be $30. Fuck it

I know some others it took longer but I already got the welcome email, initial coupons, etc and everything sent to me implies it's activated but it's clearly not because nothing works.

I threw a $25 gift card onto a previous order, so I could use that $10 coupon Best Buy sent out and still hit $100—it should hopefully show up tomorrow, so I can do one more order. I have $15 in coupons too, so the plan is to get the Switch pre-orders out of the way with Arms, Splatoon 2, and Super Mario Odyssey.

The e-mail seems to have nothing to do with your sub being activated on the website.

I renewed my sub online on Sunday. Got a welcome e-mail on Monday that said my end date would be 2 years from the day I ordered it, when really it should have added on to my existing subscription. The website still showed my sub ending a month from now so it obviously didn't add on the new sub yet. Wasn't until Wednesday when it was finally reflected on the website. Your issue will probably resolve itself in a few days, it just takes an absurd amount of time for some reason.

Zaraki_Kenpachi, I know this will be an inconvenience to you, but I recommend going into a best buy store and raising hell. If you want to get in on this Visa checkout sale anyhow. When I originally signed up for GCU I signed up online and had the discounted prices immediately on that order + the membership fee itself. Then I went in and bitched about it not activating after a week or so. They canceled my membership that I bought online and then I re-bought it in the store. Shit got a little fucked up by doing this because then it charged me the full price for the games instead of the GCU price and the best buy employee handling the situation said it might take a few days to get my credit card refunded, but that never happened. So I had to go in and complain some more and he had to end up overriding the system or some shit. Total pain in the ass, but it got all smoothed out after 3 trips or so into the store.
