Not to be rude, but this is pretty much how all Black Friday deals go. You can either do that or spend hours sitting outside in the cold. I'll take a nice beverage, a a dumb movie, and a laptop open to this thread over standing in line.

My New 3DS arrived to my house yesterday at midnight (Amazon Mexico, yikeess). Yep, I didn't sleep too much because I was transfering my licences to this new console.
But it's fantastic. Play this after 3 years of use a old 3DS XL is truly a great step. Now I need buy a screen protector, I ignored this aspect in my former console and I regret now.
I know Switch is going to launch next year, but fuck that, the 3DS library games is too good and I still have too many to start (but I don't know if buy Xenoblade here or wait if Switch get a port lol) And Pokémon Moon plays niceeely here, so I can wait the Pokémon Sun/Moon Switch version (I hope be a port/sequel at same time, anyway)

I'm buying the Switch on day one and I didn't realize how small the top screen was...
Maybe if the XL was like $120 then I'd want to go for that one. I have to see and play this in person on order to decide if it's worth getting for me. I don't want to play Smash Bros on a screen I can barely see detail on.

I might stop by my GameStop when it opens Black Friday, see if I can pick the 3DS up. If I can't, it's no big deal.

Good deal, n3DS is superior for matte finish and smaller comfort size, plus customizable faceplates. I got the 20th Pokémon Anniversary edition during the beginning of the year.

I don't play Smash, but when I checked the demo on my XL I found it too small to really appreciate that game. The camera in that game zooms out quite a bit so the characters become tiny blobs. It would be worse on the smaller screen.

Gamestop yesterday. They have a +50% promotion on all systems right now going through Sunday. I got like $180 for my launch PS4 as well. $75 for my PS3.

With this kind of deal, I'm willing to get back into handheld gaming. Haven't had a handheld since the gameboy advanced days and i would love to get back into playing Pokemon.
Of course though, I'll have to fight damn scalpers to even get near one.

I'll be buying the New 3DS at Gamestop for this reason. I'm supporting a company that chose to forgo Thanksgiving day profits by allowing all their employees to have the day off, as it should be. Whether you celebrate the holiday or not, we can all agree we need to have a day where we can all forget about material things (and many other things) and focus on what really matters. Love and family/friends. With the world the way it is, this election, etc, it really bugs the hell out of me that Thanksgiving has become an extension of black friday...
Add me to the list. Have a few ways to get one but would be nice to have a backup.

I'm planning to Amazon this as soon as it's available. I have it on my notifications list, and this time I plan to pay attention and not miss it, like I did with the Mini.

Yep, because Gamestop is well known for treating their employees well.
I have a friend who just reached 10 years there, and he seems to think so. I'm not claiming to know much else than that, but I think people are too quick to denounce these companies just because they are big and rich. Without Gamestop, we would not have a dedicated video game chain in the US. It's the week of thanks, so I'm being positive

Also, just got back from trading in my old 3DS at Gamestop. They require an AC adapter and a stylus, but I threw an old DS Lite stylus in the slot and the girl was fine with it. I bought a used Adapter for $9, but the girl gave me a coupon for an extra $5 trade in credit. Now to just try to grab a Black N3DS.
