Thanksgiving seems to be worse than Black Friday these days. When I worked at Walmart, I used to have super peaceful Thanksgiving shifts until they started doing the sales at 6PM the night of, instead of the morning on Black Friday.
People would skip Thanksgiving dinner and wait around in the store until the lines were allowed to start. It's really an awful environment and I wish that Nintendo had released the black N3DS normally. Nobody, customers or employees, should have to deal with the Thanksgiving/BF mess.

OH?! Post of the year right here. I was gonna try Gamestop on Friday morning, but might have to try Amazon instead...
Since the official street date is thrusday, I wonder if Walmart will start selling them on Thanksgiving... Gamestop (at least the one near me) is closed on thanksgiving and doesn't open until 5:00 a.m. on black friday, so that's my plan B. Plan C is just handing over the extra $60 to get an XL from gamestop, at the end of the day I am just interested in a 3DS at a good price.

Since we are talking about how horrible Nintendo is at stocking products, can we talk about how much of a missed opportunity Pokemon Go Plus is?! Has there been ANY stock put out of this thing since it quietly launched? I mean it's Pokemon mania right now and Nintendo can't even capitalize on that? If I was an investor I would be pissed.

I may be out and about on Friday. I have a N3DSXL, but if I run across any of these I'll snag some to sell at cost for you guys. My town is pretty easy for shopping deals.
I have to work both tomorrow and Friday at 5am (I work at a hospital which obviously doesn't close 
) so unless this goes up someone where online either tonight in the next ~4 hours or tomorrow afternoon/early evening I'm going to miss out :/. Have a feeling it's going to go up either very late tonight or early tomorrow and sell out immediately, and physically getting to a store won't be an option for me until like 3pm on Friday at which point I have to imagine these would have been sold out for like 8 hours.

I honestly can't answer that but if you're local and want to give it a go...why not? I was buying diapers and the place was mayhem.
People on CAG have tried Target and it seems to be system blocked. Maybe a manager can do an override, but I doubt it.

Gah. I already feel too comfortable with Walmart. Though yes, I am aware of how shitty (IN GENERAL) Walmart can be. Interestingly, they're apparently going to be giving out wristbands to those who are outside the store before it opens, to keep those without them from barging in. Wonder how that'll help, lol.
I didn't mean it as Walmart is a bad company, that's for another thread.. they were literally the worst (most crowded) store I've ever gone to and extremely unorganized for the past 3 years. Best Buy was the most organized here, but it takes so long to get into the building.. Target is nearly as bad as Walmart in organization. The local Walmart's parking situation was so bad, you had to park blocks away..
My backup plan failed and it's not even 9 p.m. yet. Toys R Us already ran out of the red 2DS online.I wonder if the $100 giftcard expires. Worst case I can save it for the Switch maybe.

It should. Amazon tends to honor orders the best from what I have seen. Haven't had an issue as far as ordering fast sell items before.
