Yeah, they had shown some gameplay at E3 2010 when the 3DS debuted alongside games like Star Fox 64 3D and OoT3D (it was the first footage we saw of swimming being in the game). It's been a crazy long wait but I think it was well worth it.

I'm just kinda bothered how long the localization took. =\

For what it's worth, I may still end up getting White decals for the top and bottom of the system, both to protect the shells of the system and to give me the completely monocolor look I want.

Yeah the pikachu one isn't very good. I can see why the animal crossing one is liked though. It's simple enough without being too busy. I hate over-complicated designs.

Eevee 3DS XL is the best Pokemon XL yet. Pikachu is lazy and incredibly tacky and Charizard looks like shit when it's actually opened up (same issue with Pikachu too)

Eevee at least works when the system is opened up and if you ask me the design itself isn't bad. Wouldn't get if it ever came over here, though.

I really like the Eevee one. The color palette is very harmonic and the fact that's it's just vertical lines makes it very elegant. But the Eevee illustration on the bottom part ruins everything.

Yeah. I checked and it's about $30 to ship one to Canada. :\ The actual price of the guides are surprisingly cheap though considering what you get. This one is only $12 and it's 640 pages.

I was thinking about ordering one of those adorable plushies too at the same time so the shipping doesn't feel as ridiculous but they won't ship them to me.

I wouldn't have high hopes for it. The one they made for City Folk had a lot of mistakes in it if I remember correctly. Also, the 500 pages are a bit misleading as the guide is a "smaller trim size for portability". It won't even compare to the Japanese guides of 600 full size pages.

I miss when Nintendo Power did the guides for Nintendo! Still got my Wild World one from them.

Yeah I'm sure the official guides were great. And yeah I did take the slim design of the book into consideration when they mention page count. I can't read Japanese though so the other guides aren't really an option.

Yeah I generally never get guides for games. I like finding stuff on my own and looking up whatever I'm stumped on.

And no I played a lot of the original Animal Crossing on Gamecube. Played it a bit on Wii. Those are the only two I've played. Really miss the NES systems you dig up and play. =/
