1. Yes, I have definitely considered it

2. I think in general I prefer contract/temporary employment. I feel like I would get stagnant if I stayed in one place too long, plus it allows you to explore more creatively as well.

3. Probably a small indie studio because I feel like it would be cool to get close with a small team of people and make a cool game. But I also wouldn't mind working at a large studio either.

4. Several different projects probably, unless I was very personally invested in a larger project

5. Probably a company that self publishes just because it would be a smoother experience I think, but I don't really mind either way that much

5. Self published preferably

3. Large/AA studio.
4. Work on several different projects. Variety is the spice of life.

3. Large/AAA studio, at least at first.

4. One large project

5. Publisher

I'm all about stability at this point in my life.

1. No
2. permanent is always preferred
3. AAA hopefully for better job security
4. Same project
5. Either is fine

1. Have you considered becoming a game developer / are you currently a game developer?

-Yes. I'm studding computer science and even if I don't get to work on the game industry I will at the very least try to make something on my own.

2. In general, do you prefer contract / temporary employment or long term / permanent employment?

-Long term I suppose.

3. If you worked in the game industry, would you prefer to work at a small / indie studio or a large / AAA studio?

-Large, as long as it was a studio that made games I liked. Larger studios can tackle more ambitious projects even if it comes at the cost of not having as much freedom.

4. Would you prefer to work on one large project over the course of several years, or work on several different projects over the same course of time?

-Several projects.

5. If you did work in the game industry, would you prefer to work in a company that has a publisher as a partnership or work in a company that self-publishes games?

-No preference, as long as I was getting paid or working on something I believed in.

1. Have you considered becoming a game developer / are you currently a game developer?

I'm a graphic designer so yeah, at one point I was interested in becoming game developer....until I found out about how bad the job seems to be in terms of work/life balance. I like a good work/life balance and I feel being a game developer will mean I lose the balance I currently have.

2. In general, do you prefer contract / temporary employment or long term / permanent employment?

Long term employment is always preferable unless the work is one-note and there's not enough variety.

3. If you worked in the game industry, would you prefer to work at a small / indie studio or a large / AAA studio?

While probably different, I have worked for large and smaller company and so far my experience with the smaller company has been better. I have more input on what to do, the managers actually work with you as opposed to overlording you, which just makes work experience more pleasant in general.

4. Would you prefer to work on one large project over the course of several years, or work on several different projects over the same course of time?

Several different projects. I get bored easily if I have to work on the same thing for too long period of time.

5. If you did work in the game industry, would you prefer to work in a company that has a publisher as a partnership or work in a company that self-publishes games?

I don't know. The later sounds better but I can't know for sure.

1. Have you considered becoming a game developer / are you currently a game developer?

Yes, but only considered

2. In general, do you prefer contract / temporary employment or long term / permanent employment?

I thought I would prefer long term, but so far I like temporary just to keep things fresh.

3. If you worked in the game industry, would you prefer to work at a small / indie studio or a large / AAA studio?

Indie studio for sure.

4. Would you prefer to work on one large project over the course of several years, or work on several different projects over the same course of time?

I always focus on one project at a time, although I have never taken one on that would last multiple years.

5. If you did work in the game industry, would you prefer to work in a company that has a publisher as a partnership or work in a company that self-publishes games?

It would be more stressful and difficult, but the freedom of self-publishing is worth it I think.
