Has that been happening in the past year? Interesting, so Apple has been selling their stuff at less of a profit than before. They are still overpriced in my opinion but that's good to hear. I mean, 500 dollar stock is really insane to begin with, but so is dropping 200 a share so fast. Inside I know that the 5c will sell like hotcakes.

After the release of the iPad mini, and the popularity of the free-on-contract iPhone, the average price of the iPad and iPhone have gone down, and Apple's margins have gone down, even though they raised the highest price (introduced 64 GB and 128 GB iPhones/iPads). The revenue has been higher (they are selling more product), but investors are unhappy with the lower margins.

actually the even more impressive take away from this (which I don't think has been covered) is that it's not even on the filesystem... so even if you were to use iExplorer or such you STILL wouldn't have access to that data.

THAT is slick IMHO.

This is what I was getting out of it being on the processor. Since it isn't in ROM it's hardware level storage. Meaning that nowhere in the memory can you access that file. They have to be doing something to get it from the processor into the OS, maybe it's dispersed in secure parts over multiple registers then read when needed? "m not an expert, just trying to figure out how this can work. I think the technology is fantastic but would have no need for a Fingerprint scanner. Lots of people like it though. I wouldn't have secure documents stored on a phone anyways. Those with jobs that require phones with PWs will definitely be thankful. I had an iPod touch 2 years ago and wasn't impressed. Entering my password to download items was annoying, this is very simple. Were any new iPod Touches announced?

Yes someone will rehost the GM and you can install it. According to some in here the old version of itunes cant see the phone. That sounds really odd to me.

I'm incredibly jealous of the new slow motion stuff. If there were only an easy way to get video from your phone to your ipad, you could actually have a pretty respectable purely ios based workflow for filmmaking. All you'd need is an external mic or to be really good at ADR and you could easily slap together something very professional looking.

ATFDL was just taken offline, but appears to be back up and doesn't have the GM yet. They do have the iTunes 11.1 beta though for though for those on OSX.

If it wasn't done similar to a TPM then it shouldn't have been done at all. Basically that is the only reasonable way to do this. Software should only be able to query the hardware about user auth. Nothing about the fingerprint data.

A1432 is Wi-Fi mini.
A1428 is GSM iPhone.

It's the number on the back of the device. So it'd be A1428 or A1429 for the dual band one.

anyway just option click on "check for update" to load the file once you find it. It will install new firmware and leave everything on the phone.
