They are a joke, and this years nominees confirm it more than any other year possibly. No noms for Harold Potter, a non-indie game in the indie category, an e-coach nominated who didn't even work in 2023. It tries to be the Oscars of gaming but the Oscars are voted on by people who make movies, TGA are voted on by stupid journalists.
That said, I don't really care for any awards show. The only times I have ever watched TGA live is to see some anticipated trailer. Lately I just watch YT for the trailers.
