After the very tight win of Green party-backed candidate Alexander van der Bellen in the second round of the Austrian presidential election, the right wing populist FPÖ appealed to the Constitutional Court of Austria, submitting evidence of problems during the counting of the postal voting in various districts, such as the votes being counted too early.
Following several days of trial, the Constitutional Court announced their decision today: The second round of the election will have to be repeated entirely, in all of Austria.
