Battlefield Hardline |OT| Battlefield FIVE-O

Switch battle rifles to semi-auto, think of it like a DMR and go to town. You basically eliminate the recoil and drift on semi-auto with these guns. They can be quite powerful and fun.

Yea, but they're not 3 shot skills like the DMRs are they? More like 5 from the ones I've used.

I wish the game had more burst fire weapons. I've been using the G36C a lot lately, really like it.

I forgot about the damage model in my reply to him. But yea all DMRs are 3 shot at any range, BRs are 3-5 (they will get their long range damage buffed to 4 shots in this patch).

And it's about to get much better tomorrow with the patch. I really hope the TDM spawns actually get fixed. And higher tickets in all Conquest maps should make for better/more epic matches.

But if you use them like DMRs you are much better off using the actual DMRs instead, since their rate of fire is much higher than the BRs in semi auto mode.

That is not true, rpm doesn't change for the battle rifles when you switch to single first so it's still 450-650 depending on the gun. All DMRs have 360 rpm in comparison.

It will be 4 shots to kill at long range after tomorrow. Going single shot is a good option, but you want to be switching between both.

So guys I've been a massive battlefield fan since the days of BF2. My absolutely favorite and most played game in the series is bf3 with bfbc2 an almost tied second.

I really lost interest in bf4 for some reason, I just don't know why. I became uncompetitive. I couldn't hit a barn door with a sniper rifle let alone calculate bullet drop over variable distances... And hitting a moving target... Forget it.

So what I want to know is, is hardline worth buying? I don't know if I'd end up playing it that much and I generally enjoy the single player games because of the destructions etc.

I just don't know why I didn't likebf4 at all, I didn't even buy premium which is an absolute first for me.

Also can anyone who runs dual 7970's tell me how this game runs on the highest graphics settings?

999 ticket Conquest is a very good improvement. It also makes it a lot easier to get the trace coins for the Gray Hat hacker syndicate assignment.

Less rockets in Hotwire makes the mode a lot more fun, but there's still too much that can blow up a car very easily.

The new TDM spawns are only slightly better, all they did was push back spawns as close to the red line as possible. And now you don't seem to spawn in the middle of a pack of enemies as much as before, but it can still happen.

BF4 was and is still bad, considering Hardline has better netcode and hitreg. If you like infantry play, you'll like this game, but I only play on the PS4 so someone else will have to comment on performance.

What in God's name was my team doing during all of this? Heist can be so damn infuriating.

You're squad was pretty much all spawned in so no help there. The two blue guys near you both died so their squadmates could not spawn there either. Kind of a perfect storm where everyone that needs to spawn is dead and everyone that is a alive is too far away.

Oh god.

Randoms never change.

Heist can be a fairly technical game if you allow it, randoms don't seem to understand that you should reset loot drop off points to something easier for your team.

They also don't seem to know/care that if your down to el zilcho tickets holding one or both of the cases will not end the game.

Tried TDM post patch and there were more than few bouts of being spawn killed. It happened 5 times in a row in Everglades, and a few other times in other maps where I got spawn killed several times in a row. Doesn't seem much better to me, but I barely play TDM so whatever.

You can't change player count with rent-a-server. Kinda lame, I was hoping for 64 player Conquest Large on The Block.

I find it weird that there's a 64 player TDM version of that map, but no Conquest Large for it in the official presets/rotation.

so you cant make a 32 TDM server?

But thad said specifically that we could, are you 100%sure? maybe it was just conquest on specific maps?

Would be weird if they not let us adjust to LESS players in TDM

People asked in reddit and Visceral responded with "it works just like it did in BF4" and as I recall you could change the player count in BF4 but it would not be ranked so stats would not be recorded in those servers.

I tried looking for 8v8 or 10v10 hotwire and 64 player CQL on The Block and found nothing. All the rented servers I saw on PS4 were just standard player counts.

Would be great, but nope.

That's a bummer, the block and one or two of the other smaller maps seem like they would be great for 16 player objective based modes. The block sucks because its just a meat grinder with all the players, but it could be a great tactical map with 8v8 on heist or Bloodmoney.

Bought the game today from a friend for £20 because I have little else to play until TW3 releases. It's pretty good. Better than the beta, but I wouldn't say it's as good as BF4. Blood Money is my go-to mode.

I was disappointed to find out that there aren't separate sensitivity options for the camera and aiming your weapon, though. That's an option I warmly welcomed in BF4. Now my camera speed is slightly too low, while my aiming speed is slightly too fast.

Do we know if they plan to give us more options via an upcoming patch?

I've been really enjoying this as a placeholder for the summer until Battlefront sucks me in this fall.

The only thing I really wish was that the time to kill was a little closer to Battlefield 4. It is a lot of fun, but it feels a bit too rapid still. Otherwise it is good shenanigans!

I hate that desert town place for Heist as well as the downtown area with the crane that falls, vehicle orientated maps for Heist feels a bit silly at times when everyone is just on vehicles.

Also unless im understanding the display wrong, we get points for being killed by vehicles?

I'm getting bummed out that more and more people seem to be camping on vehicles instead of driving them in hotwire. I wish they would take K/D off the scoreboard to encourge people to take the cars instead of camping on them. Who am I kidding though, it wouldn't change anything. Also, fuck breaching charges, lol

Bought the game today. Really enjoyed the beta so don't know why I waited so long. Hope I'm not gonna get destroyed online cause everyone's so far ahead.

Yeah, i dont get why they didnt put this in, its annoying with all the other "advanced" options in there. Getting good sensitivity in hip fire for me would leave iron sights too sensitive. With the alternative to have the iron sights just right, but hip fire too slow and sluggish.

Is anyone complaining about the new ticket count in conquest large?

The games take FOREVER now.

No one should be complaining about the new COnquest Large count.
The old count made the games pretty garbage, it always felt that just as i was getting into the groove of things the match would end.

Now i actually enjoy Conquest Large.
Its now my most played mode, after pretty much abandoning it at the low ticket count.

Oh god, so after a good six weeks I decided to go back to my second Veteran run-through to finish up trophies. Died on the stupid turret section in the desert, and now my game won't load. I assume I can restart the chapter and not lose too much progress, but I'm not convinced that will save me from what happened last time, namely my veteran run-through not counting towards the achievements, and not unlocking Hardline difficulty...

Anyone have any thoughts on the situation? Worth a try, or is it time to just chuck the single player in the trash?

Well, a slight bit of mercy. Restarting the current level on Veteran didn't seem to screw up my progress, as when I finished I got my achievements for it, and finally unlocked Hardline. About god damned time considering I finished each level at least 3 times on Veteran.

"In a recent discussion with members of the Don’t Revive Me Bro podcast, Visceral Games Multiplayer Producer Zach Mumbach dropped a few juicy details on the Battlefield Hardline‘s first upcoming multiplayer expansion pack, which was previously revealed as “Criminal Activity”.

According to Mumbach, Hardline’s first expansion, included in all Premium memberships, will introduce four new multiplayer maps — a standard affair — two of which will be night maps. “Not, like, re-do’s of the main game, but, like, two brand new night maps,” he said.

The action will take place in a modern setting, like the main game, in locations like California and Florida. Maps will range in size and will be “a little bit more” destructible, but Mumbach says the studio has “done a better job of visually messaging what’s destructible and what’s not.” Players can also expect a few new vehicles, but probably no planes. He also told listeners that some of the DLC maps that are bigger in size are being saved for later, as they take longer to produce.

Non-Premium owners can also expect additional content in the future as well, like new weapons. “[…]the future is not just about Premium,” Mumbach explained. “We’re obviously doing a ton of Premium stuff, but we’re also going to support players that just bought the game and aren’t necessarily Premium.” No promises were made, but Mumbach says the studio also discussed letting non-Premium subscribers sample new maps with friends who own Premium. However, there are a few technical hurdles to overcome in order for that to happen.

Battlefield Hardline’s Criminal Activity DLC will be available this Summer with two weeks of early access for Premium subscribers."

I played the beta for this and it seemed fine, what's the consensus on the finished product now that it has been out for a while? If it was a burning wreck like BF4 at launch I figure I would have heard about it by now. I've been on a huge Advanced Warfare binge lately and I'm getting really sick of that game, so I'm thinking of picking this up. Not having people jump dashing all over the place sounds refreshing.

Anyone else get an in-game survey? The reason why I can not recommend the game is how the progression and assignments are trickled out. It's wierd to purchase a weapon then need to unlock with kills then with money.

At first i didnt like the idea of needing to pay for attachments, i figured simply locking them behind a kill wall was more than fine.

But thats only when you are broke(i.e Beginning of the game) but now that ive got money and/or know how to make lots of it quick, it gives me a goal to strive for....i literally just started with Assault Rifles....and im loving testing them out once ive got enough cash to buy attachment X.

Yeah im artificially giving myself objectives, but it feels like im still working towards something whenever I play.

Buddy of mine has a knack for sniping pilots out of helicopters at decent ranges. He's got quite a few clips (20-30+) of doing it, most at ranges of 150m+.

I decided to set my mind to it and have two in the last week. Neither was from a range further than probably 25-50m, but it's something. Really gratifying feeling.
