Well at least, Al-Qaeda is obsessed with big bombs and having decided to start trying massive shooting attacks like in Mumbai. When considering how easy it is to modify weapons to fully automatic and how low cost the attack would be, I'm (happily) surprised that they haven't switched to that.

My wife works and commutes to New York every day. It's not the bombs I'm scared of, it's a mass shooting (and armed with grenades/IEDs). Think about the potential from that and try and sleep easy tonight. Not trying to be doom and gloom, I'm just always concerned for my wife's safety and the thought of a Mumbai Style attack scares the shit out of me.

Luck, it's happened before (in London recently), sometimes the bomb maker is just a schmuck and screws up the circuitry. Thank god we had amateur night this time. That's why I said I'm amazed Al-Qeada hasn't going to shooting rampages.
