Having an area for listing pronouns is helpful for folks who have cultural defying names, like a woman who goes by "Chris" instead of "Kris", whose parents hated them enough to give a highly unusual name like "Cheerio", or from a foreign language with it's own gendered names unfamiliar to the local culture like "Tanspreth Shanipranisthistha". The usual honorific "Mr.", "Ms." and "Mrs." used to resolve the issues but then folks started preferring to not use those or use professional titles like "Dr." or a rank instead.
