I'll attempt a translation:

Greetings from the land of beer, bratwurst and weird porn. Got here a little while ago and am tired so dropping this stuff early, then bed. Afterwards I'll visit some churches, some friends are in the park as well. Then some work meetings and will see how the Gamescon floor is later this week.

Truthfact 1:
No live stream for real reasons. Xbox One architecture is still not fully complete. The latest version of the SDK from a couple of weeks ago dropped preformance by 15 - 20% across the board. Now before you get mad at me X-Bots, this happens all the time in console development and it will eventually be fixed but there's no chance for an early October release. Or......

Truthfact 2:
..certainly not for all 21 countries. Localization is absolutely one hundred percent BS. Period. Truthfact! There are excuses nobody with any common sense would consider, look at the countries dropped. Cross reference that against languages spoken (official and otherwise).

I said yield issues 2 months ago and the chicks have come home to roost. There are knock on effects for launch titles, smartglass, etc. Instead of 180's they have 1 coherent vision and are now paying the price for that new direction.

Truthfact 3:
Late October launch for PS4. Sony SDK is ready and you can basically go gold with games now.

Truthfact 4:
For those people who were mad about Bayonetta 2 being WiiU exclusive you will be somewhat unhappy about what Microsoft are doing. They have moneyhatted Platinum Games. Other Japanese developers are in play but Kamiya is the only one I am solid on. These games won't be for North America or even Europe which makes no sense but whatever.

Truthfact 5:
Big Parks (no clue on this dev need help on that) cancelled game was a MOBA. It's dead now and the whole studio is focused on TV services. All of the best talent went to Big Tusk (again, unsure on dev) or left MS entirely. Rare is still Kinect focused, no matter what you've heard.

Truthfact 6:
New Indie publishing policy is not set yet. It will be done post-launch.

Truthfact 7: September surprise early!
Apologies in advance, everything I saw over the last 24 months was that there's no chance of a Kinectless SKU. This is concrete.

Whispers of optional Kinect (not in box) SKU early next year, March/April. Enough smoke from this fire that I didn't want to wait til September to share. Launch number fallout will play a large role in this.

Shitstorm imminent!

Best Translation. Holy shit CBOAT once again dropping those truth bombs! Doubt him at your own risk.

So all the inside information about the PS4 development software was true and the PS4 is launching in late October?

Based Cerny...

CBOAT and a Saudi Arabia ad pretty much confirm this as TRUTHFACT

Wow, this seems like a company in full-on panic mode- those presell numbers must be verging on the catastrophic. I've never seen a product marketing plan completely unravel like this has for MS. I wonder who loses their job when this is over.

Nope it's fake. There wouldn't be "view conversation" listed unless he @replied to someone.

You make a code change that has unexpected results when actual games are run.

If you've ever had a bad driver on PC that's hit performance or introduced new bugs to older games, it's similar.

Yes but 20% is pretty big. It makes no sense.

Even though it is more his fault than anyone else, you can bet it wont be Balmer.

You can just google his twitter and check anyway. I did, it's fake. No one at Sony would be so dumb to confirm it this way.

How can people think that shahid tweet is real? Hahaha. Even if it's true he wouldn't be allowed to openly post it, let alone give open awareness to someone like cboat.

People that will get Xbox one at launch will be pissed when they release a no-kinect $100 cheaper sku 4 months later.

I won't be, and the camera will likely cost $149 by itself when launch, going by kinect 1.0 price, maybe even more if some of the rumors are true, if any of this is true.

No, it's about sales results will make the decision for them. If sales fall sharply after launch (or aren't even good in the first place) it will happen. If they're good and steady without it it probably won't.

This doesn't make a huge amount of sense though. Presumably with low yields, MS will sell out through the end of the year, so they can't make decisions to drop king based on their own sales - it would need to be based on where Sony is too, and how much corrective action is needed

The best selling game in japan for the 360 sold 208,521 units.
The best selling game in japan for the original xbox sold 216,825 units.
Xbox doesn't sell in japan and neither does software. Devs making japanese-centric games for a console that doesn't sell is a great way to kill said game in their own market.

Platinum games tend not to sell well anywhere. They brought Bayonetta 2 to the WiiU because Nintendo were the only ones willing to bank roll it. They can't spring money from their ass to make games. Somebody has to fund it, and considering their track record outside of Metal Gear Rising, which definitely banked on name recognition, it's probably hard for them to get the funding needed. So desperate platform holders, or in this case Microsoft and Nintendo, are likely extremely appealing to Platinum from a financial standpoint.

Thread is moving real fast but the most interesting news I got out of this is that MS is funding a Japan or Asia only game. Wow. Must be some sort od megaton.

So the October release date for PS4 is pretty much a given at this point, huh? Sounds great to me.

And I'm really wondering what this Platinum exclusive is.

This did nothing for the conversation since it's not even there. Best to not derail the conversation.

But Don Mattress is already without a job.

I read the Platinum rumor as the game is only Xbox exclusive in Japan, multi-console everywhere else.

I don't get why'd they moneyhat that then or why people would be mad (outside of Japan) at all then.

It might help in Japan, but only if the only other console it's on is the Wii U or the 360 since otherwise they could import it.
