Every time I see this thread jump, a glimmer of hope sparks. Every time I see it's nothing official, (granted, the fan created stuff is AMAZING) it makes this series feel hollow again because of the ignorant corporate asshats at Activision.

What I wouldn't give to have a Naughty Dog developed Crash Bandicoot for the PS4 that retained/expanded upon the classic cartoonist style and which played similarly to Super Mario 3D World/Land. I would die a happy man, too bad it will never happen since it seems that the IP is virtually dead at this point and no, no game Activision will put out will ever scratch that itch.

I almost forgot about sharing some new sketches of Crash from Zembillas, so.. here they are:
1.http://zembillas.blogspot.ca/2014/07/yankee-doodle-crash.html
2.http://zembillas.blogspot.ca/2014/07/world-cup-crash.html
And some more fanart creations that I can just put one link to see them all :)
http://crashynews.wordpress.com/2014/07/08/mega-share-best-recent-fandom-creations/
(Of course, these are the ones I picked, you can share other ones that I did not pick over here at this thread)

In addition, I tried countless times trying to find evidence of anything new for the franchise that isn't like what happened in Nov 2013 (Maybe not hard enough, but some members here seem to be really good at finding things that indicate any glimmer of hope of the franchise being brought back)
Something more like finding unannounced things at unpopular sources that seem legit, rather than what usually happens with how people try to find evidence when it comes to Crash.. (Best example of this done properly for the crash fans is the findings of Crash Landed 2010, lots of things were found, and recently, someone found an animation of an enemy on Vimeo for the game)

Also, IF anything appears to be indeed a real game or some kind of hope for the franchise, I would try to immediately inform the people over here..
For now, there doesn't seem to be anything, not even a real glimmer of a new game :(
(I know how it hurts to not be able to enjoy a new game after a while)

Andrew: ‘Bring back Crash Bandicoot? I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that’
“This is very dangerous ground,” Mr House laughs. “In concept, it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us. We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of either their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that.”

I wonder if this article is even worth a new thread on NeoGAF..
Unfortunately, the person who interviewed him isn’t probably counting Activision’s involvement into this possibility of bringing back both franchises, due to both being owned by the same company..

Nah, false hope ain't worh it.
...and honestly, I'd like to see them take action rather than give their opinion/impressions.

If there was ever proof that Sony really doesn't own Crash
There is already, its just that most people can't bother to look up the fact that Activision clearly owns the entire IP, it is the reason why you still can't have the classic crash games on your PSVita (In the US, not counting the glitch)
And yes, I am pretty sure that they "approved" the crash cameo assuming that Sony asked them to put out the Crash cameo in the PS4 ad

Hmm maybe we can get some Crash or Spyro on the PS4 hopefully

In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Sony President Andrew House left open the possibility that Sony would revive Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. “In concept, it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us. We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that,” said House.

I think this is kind of related since we have been talking a lot about Activision and Crash in the last few days..
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-...d-firing-activision-s-kotick-over-buyout.html
Also, IGN made a podcast video about Crash:

How the hell did they not consider Insomniac?!

Hello, they CREATED Spyro!

I'd also pick them for Crash, since ND does NOT have the old guard who made Crash and Jak anymore, hell Big Red Button has more notable Crash and Jak folks like Bob Rafei.

But Insomniac is pretty intact IMO, they have quite a few of the old Spyro folks even and of course they're still on Ratchet.

Insomniac is perfect also because they are independent and can work on a multiplatform game. So if Activision did the right thing and wanted to get the best choice for a Crash or Spyro game, there's no better pick in the industry in my opinion.

??????????????

http://sierra.com/

Maybe they are considering reviving crash for real, since before 2008, Crash as an IP, belonged to Sierra..

They could be considering a different studio too for Crash, I really hope this is it..
Not likely, someone found this in the code on the site:

Some things I found in the code:
  • PSN, XBOX, Others, profile.network, profile.ghosts, profile.ghostsSeasonPass (???
  • Preorders
  • Retailer selectors
  • Code for Countdowns
  • Age checkers for > 18 years old
  • 20 languages support
  • Code to send data to: 'score card research DOT com/p?c1=2&c2=14880931' that is marked as spam/malware/virus in WOT.
  • Discussion pagination
  • Image gallery

Sony should just reacquire the right to this franchise and get the developer Sanzaru on the case of creating a new game in the series.

Activision and Sony have been working close lately. I am sure Activision would be amenable to giving Sony the rights for a reasonable sum. Especially since the franchise is just laying dormant right now.

The franchise is worth way more to Sony than it is to Acitvision.

Funnily enough Activision revived the Sierra brand...sort of.

Speculation time: (Please don't completely trust the guy who posted the illustrations yet, the community has yet to fully verify if he's legit, and it is the reason why this video is not shared yet on Crashy News)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnndcIo2Y2c

I am not even sure if its legit, since it could be cancelled or on hold, and the person responsible for doing this isn't giving enough info (Remember Crash Landed? At least we had almost on the spot info when it first leaked)

Now, it isn't the time to yet bash Activision for this, since yet again, me and the community aren't yet sure if this is indeed legit

And also, links to some fandom creations shared over Crashy News:

Charles Zembillas: "Crash Gordon" by Joe Pearson
Busy isn't the word for it friends. That's the reason why I haven't been able to attend to my blog. I offer my sincerest apologies and pledge to get back to featuring art and the creative projects I'm involved with as soon as I can.

Meanwhile my buddy Joe Pearson has come to the rescue by providing me the opportunity of showcasing some original Crash artwork he came up with recently. This was done for one of Matt's auctions for the Worthing Boys Club in the UK. Joe calls it "Crash Gordon" playing off of the venerable Flash Gordon sci-fi hero.

As I'm sure many of you Crash fans know Joe Pearson was a major force in the development of the project. He was the creative epicenter of it all. I'm expecting Joe to stop by my school for a visit later today. It'll be great hooking up with him once again.

Also, some more fanarts I found during the week :p

Hopefully it would be nothing like the Jak games. While they're good in their own way, I do not want Crash Bandicoot to play anything like them.
The Jak games (especially the first two) had quite a few areas/missions that were heavily reminiscent of the Crash series, though.
