Dark Souls III [unmarked Spoilers Thread]

I've seen it in the final boss fight area.

*edit*

Also, from the other thread:

Secret ending found?
That sounds like it might just be the requirement for the End of Fire ending. I'm going to guess there's either another requirement for the Usurpation of Fire ending that involves the Londor questline, or I'm wrong and it's as simple as whether you betray the Firekeeper or not when you go to her following the defeat of the Soul of Cinder..

Also, am I the only one who gets vibes that the Firekeeper might actually be Velka?

EDIT: The guy found the End of Fire ending. Now all we need is the Usurpation ending.

Man, I think Bloodborne had the best "endings" of the series but even then that's not saying much.

The End of Fire ending:

So the ending I got was called "The End of Fire," and involved the Firekeeper and I extinguishing the first flame. The light disappears from the screen and she voices her belief that one day new flames will emerge from the darkness.

I don't know if this was a known ending already, but there it is. Still have no idea what triggers the "Usurper" ending, as I thought that was what this one was going to be.

So, still no word on Usurper ending.

Something to do with old Anor Londor / Gwyndolin?

How is it triggered? No one seems to know yet, but I hope it's not tied to DLC like the Scholar of the First Sin's "extra" ending was.

With that being said, I was kind of hoping for more than just "Link or Extinguish the fire" much like DS1 and 2 had. Kind of a bummer, but I guess it's just a theme they're sticking to.

Maybe I'm biased, as I favour the subdued engings of these games, but the Usurper ending is definitely one of my favourites from the series. Still gives me chills.

Looking forward to seeing what people make of it (after hopefully discovering it for themselves!)

Good to know.

somebody on /v/ got the third ending, and like ya'll guessed, it had something to do with Yuria. Apparently it has something to do with the hollow questline where Yuria tries to set you up with marriage with that elite knight girl. Your the Prince of Landor or something, you get married and the sky is all purple with people bowing at your feet similar to the Dark Lord ending of DS1.

and yes, no "Countess of Ashes' or whatever that troll was.

So you ignore the fire and usher in a new age of man / Anor Londo?

Neat.

i just googled this whole npc ,i just let her die

You think that Elite Knight Girl changes to a guy if you use a female character, or is FROM gonna have a same sex marriage in Dark Souls

Nameless king is the best boss fight in any souls game, insanely epic and badass.
Where can I find it? Soul of Cinder is wrecking me so I'd like to do some optional stuff and gain some levels before trying again

Edit. I haven't killed Ancient Wyvern, Champ Gundyr, Old Demon King or the Nameless King yet

Hes at Archdragon Peak, to get there you need the sit down emote and go to the jail area (no idea what the name is) there is a ledge with a dragon statue and some dead knights, sit next to it and it will take you to the Peak.

The specific emote is meditate.

This JOKER just had to skip the cinematic didn't he?
edit:You know a boss is fucking badass when it took days for a video of the guy to pop up on youtube. And what a struggle this fight is.

that joker is me btw, the cinematic is him literally doing the ornstein absorb smough thing on the dragon.

That giant sandworm in the smouldering lake has amazing animation and is gigantic too. Even as more of a Hydra type enemy From has put some effort in enemy animations.
Champion Gundyr was a real badass before he got corrupted.

Where is the Smoldering Lake?

Thanks for the Archdragon guides

So are there two hidden areas? And are they large or something smaller like the Upper Cathedral Ward from Bloodborne?

I am surprised how much Demons Souls is in this game.

Firelink is basically redskined nexus. Firekeeper is basically quoting the Maiden of Black with that "touch the demon inside me" line. The overall level structure seems to be the exact same as Demons. 5 starter levels which all go down different areas with mega bosses at the end.

Just kind of funny when everyone was hyping Bloodborne as the successor to Demons. If anything playing Demons after playing BB made me realise how different BB was from Demons and Dark Souls in a lot of ways.
