Dark Souls III [unmarked Spoilers Thread]

Resposting this here as I'm getting pretty worried my 16 hour save might be down the drain:

Hey after beating yhorm, immediately starting the next fight after the cutscene warp I homeward boned out of there as I didn't want to loose all those souls I got, and now I don't know how to get back there.

Did I accidentally stumble into a game ender?
That would seem like something really obvious they should've caught, so there should be a way back. Did you go to the previous arena and try touching everything?

I figured it out by sitting down and stopping the game a bit, and thinking about it. Once I did I realized where I had seen that NPC before: at the very damned beginning of the game, opposite the Vordt bonfire.

Went back there, and yup, fogdoor.

It helped that I thought the area was very boss-room like when I first stumbled there lol >.>

Anyone found anything about Frampt, Kaathe or other primordial serpents? I know Kaathe is mentioned by Yuria. I hope they are in the game.

Wonder if dlc is borreal valley

Irithyll is the Boreal Valley, IIRC.

Personally, despite some people not liking anything about DkSII, I hope the DLC explores what happened to the Drangleic brothers and their solution to the cycle, especially given how important it seemed to be to the entire plot of the series. It seemed like what DkSIII's "Usurpation" ending was going to be, based on the SotFS ending of DkSII, instead of some more Dark Lord BS. It just seems super anticlimactic not to return to Aldia.

I've got 3 questions.

1. Is there Ciara's armor in the game?
2. Is there Dingy Set in the game?
3. I saw a picture of a city that looked a bit like yharnam, are you able to enter that city?

I have also one question:

Has some with the jap. (Online version) played as a sunbro and can tell if the sunlight straightsword is in the game?

It doesn't really look like Yharnam and yes, it's the city you saw under Anor London in DS1.

Could someone tell me where to find the entrance to the Smouldering Lake?

Collapse the bridge in the catacombs and use it as a ladder.

That ending, although still obviously opaque, is definitely more satisfying to me. My takeaway is that not only are you the dark lord ala DS1 but that the cycle is broken and the flame dies with you.

Beat the game a couple hours ago. The final boss is AMAZING. I absolutely love that fight. My favourite final boss in the "series," dethroning Gehrman (and that fight was already fucking amazing so that's saying something).

Without counting optional bosses my ranking would be DaS3 Final boss > Gehrman > False King Allant > Gwyn > Nashandra.

Also, the final boss is totally our DaS1 character right? He/she is using different weapon type and spells that you can use as a player, except turned up to 11.

Well that escalated quickly . gif

Lmao what's that clusterfuck

Everyone who ever linked the fire apparently.

Oh okay. What's the boss' name btw? I know all the other bosses' because of the trophy names but this one didn't have a trophy.

Soul of Cinder, according to the OST. That track, BTW, is a big reason why that battle is awesome. When it transitions to Gwyn's theme and he starts chucking bolts of lighting at you, you know Miyazaki nailed it.

Soul of Cinder, it using spells and stuff from Ds1 and 2 and then going Gwyn is why I assume it's everyone who linked the fire.

I haven't read all the posts, but is there a killer in Firelink Shrine? I just had an encounter with the knight who accompanied the failed Fire Keeper, the one that teaches you miracles. I lost the fight to see what he was talking about and sure enough, she's gone. That's the second person to have died in there.

WTF is going on.

So, my miracle vendor is gone. No corpse. Just gone. I assume it's because I kept drawing out my dark power with Yoel? If so, that sucks.

I didn't even get attacked. She just vanished...

No, if leave the shrine and head back to the bonfire prior, the knight is out there waiting for you. You get his shield and mace. He's pissed because you were supposed to take care of her. That's why i asked earlier if there is a killer in the shrine. I have 2 dead people now.

So I just killed Aldritch but his spell killed me after I was given his boss soul...I think there was supposed to be a cutscene after but it didn't play, have I missed anything important?

So after 9 bosses, having the Dark Sigil (and the stat at 99) also having dead Yoel dead. I never cured the curse and Yuria still hasn't spawned at all.

Ehh...

Can you get a proper pyro trainer at the firelink and where is it? I'm playing two characters and the magic one is feeling so inferior to pure melee.
