I played through all of DSII without a shield, except to parry or counter other spell casters in PvP with 100% dark / magic resist shields. Spellsword build.

These games can be as fast or as slow paced as you make them.

Ahah I don't think so, there's always an interesting and deep lore with many interpretations in these games.
It might be a bit frustrating that many elements are not immediatly clear and you have to complete the game at 100% to fully get the story. That is true.

The story is "some cunt who can't die kills lots of guys and steals their shit till he gots all of it"
 
I'm stupid and can't figure out how you use Dragon Stones. Using them like a normal item doesn't seem to work.

This is the first time I'm actually interested in the lore of a Souls game after completing it. Now I just have to wait for internet detectives to analyze the game lol

Or is it like DS2 where you can choose to do it when ready?

Walking on clouds and him making wave attacks with the clouds looks dope though.

What's the connection between Gwyndolin and Priscilla? Was there a strong bond? Also there is a pale girl who leads the Darkmoon who seems to be descended from Priscilla. Did Gwyndolin bone Priscilla?

Gwyndolin never died or never confirmed to die since most of the undead who met him became a darkmoon or simply never found his shrine.

About Priscilla, Anor Londo gods wanted to kill her so is obvious he knew about it. maybe he was the one who have her the doll to run away into the painting

Maybe he was an illusion too and he played us, or he was simply weakened dropped the illusion spell on Anor Londo and retreated.

He is referred to as a former war god so it could be him. His garb minus the head-piece really reminded me of Gwyn's set.
 
Think my favorite boss designs are High Lord Wolnir, Consumed King, Nameless King, Ancient Wyvern, Yhorm, Deacons of the Deep, Curse-rotted Greatwood... So many great designs and cool touches, like the dragons made solely of nerves in the Old Dragonslayer Armor fight.

Ancient Wyvern is so cool, because the boss fight is essentially 'explore the area or die'. It is fun and man say what you want about the fights themselves FROM has one-upped their showmanship since BB. The jank of big dragon bosses in the past has been fucking evaporated with the first part of the nameless king fight. That thing majestic.
