that was..............actually really good. i wonder if all the canned superhero projects are secretly good.
Man, so he really is the Robin Williams of superheroes then!
Quentin Tarantino to direct, plz.
Or push Marvel to buy back the rights to Deadpool. Fox doesn't seem to be doing jack shit with Deadpool, & James Gunn does want to do a Thunderbolts movie after GotG2. If anyone can do right by Deadpool, it's Gunn.Someone start a petition, a kickstarter, blackmail the execs at Fox, something!!!
Unfortunately, only one of two things will make this movie happen. Either...
- Fox gets their thumbs out of their asses & greenlight this movie, or...
- Marvel buys back the rights to Deadpool & greenlight the movie themselves.
Sadly, I don't see the former happening, & I don't think Marvel has a grand scheme for Deadpool to justify the purchase unless they want a more standalone movie like Ant-Man seems to be. Great performance by Ryan Reynolds, though.
2 minutes and I'm already sick of deadpool, this movie would get old fast

Why would Marvel Studios, which is notoriously tight with money, greenlight an R- rated action movie? It has a higher chance, if any, with Fox. Plus Deadpool is part of the X-Men rights. I don't think they can just give him back individually.Or push Marvel to buy back the rights to Deadpool. The same Marvel Studios that greenlit Guardians of the Galaxy, a comedy space opera that's poised to break August records if current opening weekend projections have anything to say about it (plus the positive reviews). Why would Marvel Studios, which is notoriously tight with money, greenlight an R- rated action movie? Marvel isn't doing anything with the darker characters they have now. The Punisher, Ghost RIder and Blade have infinitely more appeal than Deadpool, yet are sitting on the sidelines.

Exactly. Marvel Studios has taken many risks in the past, & pretty much all of them have either paid off or are about to pay off. I think they earned enough trust to do an R-rated action comedy.Marvel just got those franchises back and there's still a stink on them from their recent films. I expect they'll all be something akin to the Defenders netflix series sometime in the future.
Deadpool, I honestly believe, has more appeal as a movie than those three right now.
Guardians of the Galaxy is a risk but it's no where near the risk an R rated Deadpool movie is. Guardians of the Galaxy appeals to a lot more audiences, Deadpool doesn't. Fox can also very easily insert Deadpool into that X-Force movie theyre planning. Plus as I also mentioned, the only way Deadpool goes back to marvel at all is if they sell the X-Men rights completely which isn't happening any time soon. The same Marvel Studios that greenlit Guardians of the Galaxy, a comedy space opera that's poised to break August records if current opening weekend projections have anything to say about it (plus the positive reviews).
They can just as easily stick Deadpool in a Thunderbolts movie & make him the show-stealer.
Will have mirror up in a few.
